As one of many who served on the front lines in a very unpopular war .. because my country asked me to, I have become nothing more than a shadow of that once proud, young man.
Tonight I sit here, older, wiser and with a heavy heart .. for I no longer BELIEVE in my country.
For all my brothers in arms .. I am so sorry for what we have become.
As Nikita Khrushchev once said:
"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."

I’m with you, friend. As far as I’m concerned that flag I served under does not represent the country I loved. I will no longer pledge allegiance to it. We need a new country and a new flag. I fear we can’t go back to the old one. It hasn’t existed for a long time.

And volunteer for candidates that will defund and dismantle Obama care.

If we let this stand then the blood shed by so many for the cause of liberty stands for nothing. I will not see that happen.

This is but one battle lost in a war that will span centuries, more than likely. Do you have kids? Two of mine are voting now, and both of those are voting “correctly.” We are not giving up anything. So take heart. Tomorrow is another day. I intend to fight until the end.
Well, I’ll tell you what saying ‘I give up’ ain’t the answer. These people are still voted in. There are AG’s who are going to fight the bill and others. They don’t need a lay down public. And this thing wouldn’t even kick in until 2014, so that’s some elections there.

You are not a beaten man. How do I know this? Because I am a brand new FReeper (as of today) and have come to join you in the fight. Yes, we are dispirited tonight but with the dawn of each new day our reserve to right this isanity will grow stronger.
You are also not just a shadow of the once proud young man. How do I know this? Your years have given you much wisdom that we will all need in the battles to come. We need your experience and wisdom to guide us.
Strategy and tactics from your service years will be invaluable in the weeks and months to come. The idiots in DC have no idea what they have unleashed on this night. November will be upon them before they know it!
So, take heart. Our beloved America will come out of this stronger and prouder than ever.
It may sound boring but I am planning to work hard to get good candidates for the primaries, because, I expect November to be a huge time of reaping for conservatives.
Also, I am looking forward to advocating for the Senate to do all it can to stop this bill; and for the states’ attorneys generals.
There is still hope.
Ask yourself this: What would the left LIKE me to do?
Then do the opposite.
