One of the questions: "What President was born in Hawaii and has the papers to prove it?" I found that very interesting....did Barry provide the long form and I missed it? I have noticed a sharp liberal slant in the questions over the past couple of years. How about this: "What former White House employee has a nice black dress with Presidential DNA on it's front?"
No but I had a dream with Weird Ale in it.
I have not watched Jeopardy in years, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the death of Merv Griffin would be seen as an opportunity to the Left.
Who is Obama, the guy without a birth certificate?
Alex, I’ll take Reasons Why the Media is a Failure for 100.
Maybe there are so many potential correct replies that they simply won't bother with this one. ;)
Oops, I meant Weird Al I guess I was thinking about Strange Brew.
lol!
Oh, I saw it. Very telling in my opinion.
was the dress black or blue?
This could be a Massa or Frank question as well.
It was blue.
The dress was blue.
Um, it was a blue dress.
One early memory from around spring of 1971. I was just a little boy dreaming on one of the first warm days of the year. The windows were open in my bedroom and I was woken up by a light breeze pushing the curtains against my face. The radio downstairs was playing "Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted" by the Partridge Family and for a few surreal moments, all was right with the world.
Later that day, I was severely beaten up by a gang of kids on bicycles and so the day did not have such a happy ending. But it sure started out good. The next 8 years of my life were pure hell.
But getting back to Jeopardy, I never really watched that show but I sure did flip by it a number of times while changing channels. Another good show from that lost era - The Waltons. It comes across as a little dopey now but back then, that show was something to look forward to. Were families really like that during the Depression? Everytime I take the I-77 exit off I-81 in Virginia and head towards Charlotte, NC, I think about the Waltons. I'm not sure they actually lived in that section of the Virginia/North Carolina border but it sure feels like Walton country to me - especially when you drive down that long mountain (just after the border).
I wonder if Ms. Lewinsky realizes yet that Linda Tripp probably saved her life by recommending that she keep that dress, with stain intact?
“What’s my line”
There was a woman, Dorothy Kilgallen, on that show, who I think had incriminating evidence about JFK.
She died under strange circumstances, I believe.
More tangents than a trig exam. :)
Patches
I’m depending on you, son
To pull the family through
My son, it’s all left up to you
Two days later papa passed away
And I became a man that day
I think a lot of people realize a lot of things, even if its deep in their subconscious. None would ever say anything publicly, though. In her case I’ve always thought exactly how the first encounter went down might be the big secret, in that maybe as per his mo with others there was an element of force that MIGHT have done him, in if revealed.
I saw it; the Jeopardy staff is clearly writing some of these questions with a distinct political slant (the show is now owned by Sony). BTW, I took the test and qualified as a contestant a few years ago. The show “contestant coordinators” were on site - a very obese guy wearing a remarkably dirty t-shrit out of his trousers (this sloppiness clearly showed contempt for the contestant wannabees) and a less than pleasant elderly lady. The fat guy openly made it very clear that older white guys wearing suits were not welcome as contestants with some comment about they wasted their time traveling for the tryout (most of those who passed the tests that day were older white guys) which astonished me given supposed federal protections against age discrimination.
all of these types of game shows manage to inject in leftist politics.
Alex, I’ll take, “Which modern president’s father was a British citizen” for $1000.
