Anyone who still likes to see the stars, the dresses, the fun of watching liberals do their thing, please join me! Dishing and heavy sarcasm welcome!
Yorkie posted this 1997 photo of Linda Hamilton when she was still with James Cameron:

Thanks again for such a fun thread!
Obviously Adam Shankman knows that not only liberals like show business. Classy that he wouldn’t let them go political.
That is excellent news. Glad you caught it. I was hoping it was just something I missed quite honestly.
I was so glad she won. And just to make a correction...she pointed towards Jesse with her finger, not the statue. (Had to watch the replay myself to get it right!)
“Hurt Locker” was a surpriser to take the “best movie and best directer” awards. With all the talk about “Avatar” being the more likely pick and the fact that a producer from “Hurt Locker” got “banned” from attending the Oscars for a bad e=mail, which I thought hurt its chances of getting the Oscar, did pretty good after all.
Maybe what liberal Hollywood is trying to do right now by giving the award to the “Hurt Locker” is trying to win back most of the nation which is conservative and respects those who are in union or who have served.
A good thing for once for a change Hollywood to honor our troops. I only had seen a bit of the Oscars, thinking as always it was going to be another boring love fest, thinking o well, “Avatar” got it all in the pocket. Well never underestemated surprises.
“Hurt Locker” should get award for surprise of the year.
“I have no interest in Avatar, but my gkids loved it.
I knew Hurt Locker would win. Oscars were easy to predict this year.
Democrat in WH. Time to make nice to the wars and troops.”
Well I very “surprised” that the “Hurt Locker” was able to pull it off and win both best movie and best director. It could also be because with a very unpopular Democrat in the WH, conservatism on the rise again, an upcoming mid-term election which could prove very much produce angry voter backlash agains this same Dem in the WH just 1994 did, and also the amazing growth of the tea parties which are often are attended by veterans, this should not IMHO come as a surprise then.
....Also I may add, to try to get support from those who are serving in the military right now, the Dem in the White House, as you also have cited.
“Well, perhaps you are a young’un - and don’t appreciate (yet) the beauty of an older woman,
who is not embarassed about her body, or ashamed of her body, being what it is.
I think there is a certain sense of beauty, in an older woman who is not inhibited
but able to share herself, openly, without shame
with what God had given all of us - as we age.”
I love you. I post a “thought for the day” every day on my facebook page, for my friends and family. I’m going to copy and paste your quote, and attribute it to you, today. I hope that’s ok.
:)
bttt
The show runners don’t usually have control over that. They tell the orchestra to start playing immediately if someone goes off script.
Or maybe it’s just a very good film that deserved to win.
Awww, thank you. What a sweet compliment. ((((Hugs))))
I don’t know, but it seemed to me that Jeff Bridges had a few nips before his acceptance speech. He said “man” so much, I thought we were back in the 60s.
You got it, plus other then for the fantastic 3-D, the rest of “Avatar” is not really anything to write about. Also now Hollywood is waking up and is starting at last to say “thank-you” to those who are serving.
Have you seen ‘The Hurt Locker’? It’s excellent. The most restrained BP winner in a long time.
