When I had my antique store, I had a beautiful vintage wind up Victrola record player sitting in the middle of the store. One afternoon, I put an old 78 on, wound it up, and played, "It's 3 O'clock in the Morning", and the most magical thing happened: a gentleman came over to me and bowed, took my hand, and asked me to dance - and then all the customers in my shop started dancing the waltz!

I have an OLD Victrola! It was my husband's baby. You have to wind up to play but it truly puts out OLD sound to the music. The oldest son wants that and I have to be sure the younger one gets something of equal value. I also have an old coke machine that holds the small bottles.
It was another baby of my husband's. It cost me so much to keep it running. I used it for years but every season, I would have to call the same man to work on it. And it just got to costing too much to run it. Its on my carport and its the first thing people ask about when they walk up.
Must get to work....will try to get back later, ya'll~~~

Hi, Dave,
My flowerbeds are weed-free because the ground cover is so thick (English Evy and Vinca); they're also flower-free because of the ground cover. :) However, every year at this time weeds start popping up in the yard, and it looks pretty ragged. Grass isn't green yet, but the dandelions and some other sort of weeds are. It's not pretty!
I don't usually watch the Academy Awards but I enjoy seeing what the stars are wearing - best and worst list. :) That is kewl about the actor from your home town being one of the nominees for best actor!

Oh, Amy, I just hate that you've had to go through all that trouble getting your computer back up. I didn't think about all the Windows updates that would have to be reinstalled. Hope that VERY SOON you get it all back with your extra software, folders and files installed.
Yes the dust bunnies do collect behind the pc, one reason is because it's so dang much trouble to move it out of the cabinet, with all the wires and connections attached. :(

I will never remember the names of all those exotic birds, but they’re ALL just amazing! The “curly-tail” on that bird that yorkie was talking about reminds me of one of those long waxed panhandle mustaches!

We don’t get tulips or daffodils in S. Florida because the bulbs need to “Winter”.
It is the only other thing, besides Autumn leaves, that I miss about Boston! (My home town!)
