There's a completely different way of looking at this. Note that the white starburst on the tip of the red "swoosh" represents a missile impacting a target. The red "swoosh" seems to be representing the stripes on the US flag.

So the target that is being blown up by the "swoosh" could be either an Islamic Crescent, or the "O" part of the Obama logo. So it might be a big "EFF-YOU!" by the MDA agency.
