Ya know Ya know Ya know
No one denies that "the Huck" is the most polite man in modern politics ~ he's second only to Chris Wallace in interview technique.
HE'S ON OUR SIDE FOLKS!
They'd have to pay me to do that, and I doubt they have enough money to make it worth my time.
Oh my..I might have to miss that. My ceiling fans need detailing.
I figured someone would start a thread about this.
I watched all of it, and found Mrs. Obama to have genuine passion and some workable plans for dealing with childhood obesity, which is a threat to Americas children. She presented herself very well, and Mike Huckabee did a nice job with the interview.
I don’t agree with her husbands politics but to borrow a phrase, I was proud of our First Lady.
In the same way that many liberals and Democrats treated Laura Bush graciously, I believe we should do the same when it is deserved. There are many things I would love to pick a fight with Michelle Obama about, but this is certainly not one of them.
So did he ask her why she was bared from practicing law?
Nah, didn’t see it. But my wife saw Huckabee watching around Times Square last night. Guy in front of her did the “hey, you’re Mike Huckabee” thing, so she didn’t.
So I’m curious to know what he was supposed to do?
Seems to me being polite and respectful of the Presidents wife is a pretty good idea. What would attacking her or asking hard questions accomplish?
Did she say that she needs to reduce her OWN ‘badonkadonk’ before she goes all ‘fat police’ on OUR children?
I did not see the interview yet, but there is no reason to grill the First Lady. Any First Lady. (And this from someone who makes lots of silly pictures of her.)
But for her to choose childhood obesity as a worse problem than inner city illiteracy and education leaves a bad taste in my mouth given that her background - and her race - could serve as a terrific role model and might just convince otherwise resistant kids to better themselves.
I really wonder why she chose what she chose to highlight. The government should not be telling us what to eat and not to eat but the govt is certainly invested in making sure that *all* of our citizens are educated and productive.
Simply putting recess and PE back in the schools would solve whatever temporary fatness problems this particular generation has. The same cannot be said for generation after generation of failing families and failing inner cities.

No, I am not watching. Never do, as I can’t stand the Huckster.
Did Huckebee ask Michelle, “have you done something different with your hair?”
You know, some stupid question like that, you know.
Thanks in large part to her husband, many people aren’t going to be able to buy food before long.
Those are two people I avoid.
I did watch it on the re-run just a while ago. The “ya know”(s)...the verbal pauses to help Michelle collect her thoughts was painful to listen to. I give her the benefit of the doubt as to being unsure about what she wanted to say or how she wanted to come across. It definitely was not flowing from a natural train of thought.
The last couple of minutes when she was talking about family was very, very good. Her thoughts flowed naturally without the “ya know” pause. I’m sure that it matters to her as it does to all of us.
