Nahro Massoud, a Hamas official who was released from an Egyptian prison in 2007 to the chagrin of the Palestinian Authority, was arrested in Syria in connection with the assassination of fellow Hamas terror chief Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, the British Guardian newspaper reported overnight Wednesday.

According to the report, Palestinian sources confirmed that Massoud was being detained and questioned in Syria.

Allegations of his arrest and detention have been denied by Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal, the paper added. He was quoted in the report assaying, "It is not correct at all."

The PA in past years accused Massoud of being behind the assassination of Col. Muhammad al-Musat, commander of the PA's Military Intelligence Force in the northern Gaza Strip.

Massoud was also wanted by Israel for his role in.....

I found this small article last night and was hoping that by today there would be major reportage about the arrest of this Hamas official, but no other news sites, as yet, have anything about this arrest. The other two individuals arrested are also Palestinians, but they are from Fatah, the enemy of Hamas, and one of them is an official in the Palestinian Authority.

I find it confusing that the Commissioner of Police in Dubai has called for the arrest of Mossad spychief Meir Dagan and/or Israeli Prime Minister Benamin Netanyahu, as the only people arrested and detained thus far are all PALESTINIANS, and one of them has allegedly confessed to his own involvement in the assassination.

Hopefully, there will be more information about these 3 Palestinians who all appear to be implicated in the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in a luxury hotel located in Dubai during mid-January, 2010.

Hmm...a set-up? Intended to make it look like it was Mossad that did the assassination?

I’m sure the gov’t of Dubai and some of these Euroweenie goverments who have already hopped on the bash-Israel/Mossad bandwagon are going to profusely apologize to Israel, right? Hm....I’m certainly not holding my breath.

I was wondering that since the IRA and Palestinians were known to work together. Several of the assassins were allegedly Irish.

Russians did it....

WE all know first impulse is to blame the Israelis, after all, they were responsible for 9-11. We all know they wanted the insurance money so they could buy the American mid west oilfields or some other nonsense.

This guy had an awful lot of enemies from all over the place.

It's entirely possible the enemies conspired to work with and fund a separate commercial assassination ~ a regular Killings R Us bunch ~ to do the job, and they did.

I remember when the New Orleans prosecutor (Garrison) was doing his own "Who killed JFK" investigation. Although it came to nothing, and was really off the track, he had a fair number of folks appear before the Grand Jury to testify to just all sorts of things ~ some true, some not true, some true but about different folks.

I think the guy in Dubai is just now discovering something Garrison could have told him if he'd asked ~ don't believe anybody about anything without some evidence.
