I ate my SIM card for dinner. Thanks GRRRRR for the live ‘24’ thread. Man, it was fun!
Great series.....My favorite....if you knew how many lies I had to tell just so I could watch it on Monday nights......”I’ll be out of town”...” I’m not feeling well, I’ll reply tomorrow morning”....” My Dog has to see a vet”......”I can’t come to the phone right now”...”I’ll be busy working on a project”.....
My favorite scene from all the shows took place in the last episode.
Chloe is in an almost empty warehouse trying to sneak up on Jack....the huge building is all concrete steps and slab floors....tall ceilings...empty...you could hear an ant pass gas.....Chloe has a hand gun...she is alone, but she has to find Jack....must take him by surprise...as she moves forward in the empty Warehouse....in high heels...KLICK. KLICK...KLICKKLICKKLICK....KLiCK! :)
Poor Jack, started the day by playing with his granddaughter, ends it by getting stabed, shot and leaving the country.
Season 1: Holds dead wife, who was pregnant with her second child, in his arms.
Season 2: Dealing with aftereffects of chemical torture by Kingsley’s men (though being attended to by Sarah Wynter could qualify as a positive)
Season 3: Dealing with repercussions of heroin addiction, after shooting Nina Myers (wanted to), Ryan Chappelle (was forced to), and cutting off the hand of a potential son-in-law. Sobs in his 4Runner.
Season 4: Fakes his own death, after being stabbed by Marwan, and choosing to save Lee Jong’s life over that of girlfriend Audrey Raines’ estranged husband, Paul.
Season 5: Kidnapped by the Chinese.
Season 6: “Forced” to give up a catatonic Audrey Raines, after leaving his father for dead on the abandoned oil rig, and hours after being forced to shoot Curtis Manning. Oh, and getting acided and skewered by Abu Fayed, if you need it.
Season 7: Placed in a coma while dealing with the final (yarite) effects of exposure to the preon variant, after shooting Tony, losing Bill Buchanan, and a tearful goodbye from his love interest, Renee Walker.
Season 8: Given opportunity to flee after killing just about everyone related to the death of his love interest (the incredibly hot Renee Walker), and making the others wish they were dead...and almost being blown to the next world until President Cankles saves him, and Chloe, Arlo, and Cole give him cover...
I don’t care who you are, those are some buggered up endings...
Dang, it’s pretty boring waiting for a “24” that’s not going to happen....
To those missing the intensity of 24, check out Sutherland’s new project, “The Confession” to air on Hulu on Monday.....looks terrific.
