The Daily Kos is trumpeting this as if it were Einstein explaining the theory of relativity: "As I discussed in my previous post, record-breaking snowstorms are not an indication that global warming is not occurring. In fact, we can expect there may be more heavy snowstorms in regions where it is cold enough to snow, due to the extra moisture global warming has added to the atmosphere -- an extra 4% since 1970. Snow is not the same as cold."
Actually, the opposite is happening.
There is less water in the air. That 4% figure is more IPCC Math.
The New York Times: "A decrease in water vapor concentrations in parts of the middle atmosphere has contributed to a slowing of Earth's warming, researchers are reporting. The finding, they said, offers part of the explanation for a string of years with relatively stable global surface temperatures."
So far, the Anthropogenic Global Warming crowd is batting .000 in its predictions (more hurricanes! snowless winters! ice-free Arctic).
Woolly worms have a better track record.

Have a great day, all, I’m going to *take a walk*. [the crowd gasps]
What do you expect of a journal which is named after a child molester?
Nice term. Very useful when explaining why 2+2=5.
Denial is better than the truth....KOS daily exemplifies such a dogmatic mantra.
Uhhh... did someone explain to the warmers that it hasn’t been warm at all during winter?
and i guess the cooling of the last few years also does not mean its not warming too..
Wait! If snow does not equal cold, why doesn’t it snow in Georgia.....in July?
Even if we accepted their premise that human activity is causing global warming (which it isn't), how would imposing cap and trade on the West while the Chinese build a new coal-fired electric generating plant every week have any positive effect on the global climate?
I'm so glad that Climategate has ripped the mask off of the Green Marxists ... hopefully a majority of voters get the message this November, and vote out any congresscritter that supports the AGW agenda.

or a geography lesson. A president said we have 57 states. His name escapes me. Hmmmm...
They know that if you perpetuate a lie long enough it will eventually be believed by many. When these snakes claim "snow doesn't equal cold", let them come to New England and stand out in the snow for an hour or so, then as they freeze their little asses off they can report to us that snow doesn't also represent cold. I live in New England, and this has been one very long, cold Winter. Last Winter was one of the coldest, iceiest on record, causing much of Western Mass. and New Hampshire to be declared disaster areas. ----
And it really roils me when they say things like "an extra 4% of moisture, (has occurred), since 1970"; as though 1970 moisture levels were supposed to be the standard for the 'proper' amount of moisture. The only 'science' these Chicken Little alarmists represent is the 'science' of word wizardry.
The next time anyones says to you that there is global warming, and that it is man made, remind them that it was global warming that melted the Ice Age.
Woolly worms have a better track record! That’s funny. Can I use that at work tomorrow? LOL
Now I’m no scientist, or Kos crazy, but doesn’t it have to be cold in order for it to snow?
Clearly man is responsible for this. We’ve encountered this problem before in the Middle Ages when just cause was given to outlawing wizardry and taxing ownership of firebreathing dragons.
Actually, I think IPCC Math is more like this: (C x(X+Y))+Z = Required Progressive Policies Wherein: X is measured data, Y is extrapolated data, C is zero and Z is the desired result. Notice, that whatever you plug into this equation, it will equal the need for more Progressive Policies.
