Hi! New member here. Just wanted to see if there are any interesting questions about Sweden. I'll answer them all as best as I possibly can.

They are the cheerleaders in a VW Van that I have dreamed about since I first got pimples.
That sounds kind of good to me. Must be my Scots ancestry. That probably explains why I never thought of it before too. That last thing the Scots invented was golf.
Well, this might strike you as unusual, but do you remember ever hearing of a small town called Lone Pine, CA in any major Swedish media a few weeks after 9/11?
I ask this because some reporter for the Washington Post interviewed me in the little old-time photo shop I owned there. (Tens of thousands of Europeans came through Lone Pine each year that’s why I had the shop, they loved it).
About two weeks after the story ran in the WaPo, a late middle aged woman came in the shop and told me she was with a Swedish newspaper or magazine, and asked me a similar set of questions.
So, if the woman was with a major Swedish news outlet, I’m wondering if it was ever published. (I also know that was a long time ago, but who knows?)
BTW, the WaPo reporter couldn’t make me out to be the redneck he wanted to, because I chose my words very carefully — having once been a reporter myself, hehehehehehe.
I really like Gevalia kaffee. Is it pronounced with a soft G or a hard G?
If 6 Swedes can eat 6 Kåldolmars in 6 hours, how many Kåldolmars can a Swede and a half eat in an hour and a half?
I call them the mean Swedes, they have a little Viking blood in them.
Are Loop Troop (Rockers) still popular in Sweden ?
Are they worth seeing in concert?
Has Sweden ever apologized for the Vikings? It seems that is what all the other “progressives” do.
Bitten by a moose? Yeah, that happens like every day. When I’m going to my classes there is usually a moose standing in the middle of the road biting passer-byes. Because that’s just what mooses do.
Seriously though, I’ve only seen a moose at the zoo. We’ve hunted all of our animals for two thousand years so even the bears and wolves are pretty shy.

It seemed like such an innocent (and charming question). After reading the posts on the thread, I can only say, are these Freepers a hoot, or what? They absolutely make me laugh no matter how bad the day is. Welcome. Stick with us, you WILL learn to love us. P.S. I love Swedish Fish. My all time favorite and we can get them in bulk at the grocery (or in large quantities at the last remaining Ben Franklin 5 and 10).
