Good evening!
Another week, another Dem disaster in the making...this time it's Gov. Paterson of NY, who's reported to be in scandal mode free fall. However IF he should resign, that would probably be a slight plus for his party...moving him out of the picture.
Another storm will take aim at the Mid-Atlantic area this week, dropping more inches, not feet, probably of snow on the region this time.
No, it isn’t a change of plans. We’ve been here 13 months already. In December it will be a full 23 months. We’ll leave just after school ends because there is nothing going on in town between the school semesters. We’re not needed here at that time. So basically, that will be our two years. Then, we’ll have a six month (or so) furlough. We do a two-year, six-month rotation rather than a four-year, one-year rotation. Four years is too long to be away from elderly parents and adult children.
We have a music arranging program, Sibelius, on my laptop. It just won’t work on the desktop, old computer. But to make that work, we have to plug in a standard keyboard too. It can be kinda confusing.
Nope! Not any more. You have added to the FReeper lexicon. I now and hereafter listen to Laura and Rush on the REDIO. LOL! I love it.
:-)
FWIW, it is now Feb. 11 in Iran....
Oh, good grief, if I had thought that through I would have realized December is several months away, so ‘thusly’ (I don’t imagine that is a word, is it?) two years.
It is Feb. 11 here, too. And raining.
I looked it up in my Oxford Dictionary and Thesaurus, edition 1996, which resides on the second shelf above my desk. I saw thus is an adverb. Therefore, the -ly suffix is a bit redundant. Nevertheless, I kept looking. Ah ha! IT IS A WORD! It is listed as a colloquial adverb. It has made it into modern usage and is listed as proper.
Thusly, it is fine to use THUSLY.
Springfield Reformer on that thread posted some interesting thoughts. Husband and friends have been reading a book(can’t remember the name, though) about what happens after an EMP attack taking down the power grid. And Iran launching a satellite called Omid recently which he says means ‘hope’ does seem ironic.
I was wondering the time difference—so it is already Feb 11 there.
Our pastor has been going to Brazil for several years and is letting Allie know what to expect, me too. She is going with a very serious problem, SHE IS A BLONDE!!!! She knows what to expect as D is blonde and we spent a lot of time in Mexico when she was in her teens. BUT, she is really on fire to go there and I really want her to go to central America but I know when she gets down there whe will be hooked on going back.
Haiti is really taking a beating and I am VERY upsent with that so called govt pushing charges against the church group helping the children, taking them over the border, they darn well neglected the entire population before the quake and are punishing the group?
Just ‘expiring’ some steam about Haiti, and am praying that help will come to them soon. My family and I donate to a couple who are missionaries there.

You know, I'm really glad my kid is home safe & sound and that his biggest problem is "boring" classes....
I do have some questions as to the paperwork. Was it filed? I've been silent on the subject because I don't think we're getting all the information. It doesn't matter what else is going on but paperwork will exist forever!
Earthquake in Illinois woke all my kids up at 4 AM Epicenter was very close to them. DIL was really freaked! She’s been doing a Bible study on Revelation. Although she’s ready any time, it still freaked her out.
;o)
And February 11 where you are!
Thusly is a word. It does look funny, though. I will be using it more often ‘irregardless’ of how it looks. The brilliant part on my end is definitely misplaced. Did you see my post to you last week on not being able to help my kindergarten grandson with his homework? And I don’t know how to do italics, either.
Tell Allie to carry a long wooden spoon (used for stirring sauces and cooking). A metal one would be good, too. Have her be ready to ‘blip’ an impudent upstart. She should also be ready to shout and make a scene, if necessary.
Several years ago, I was accompanying my youngest and her friend from the US to here. We were in the Singapore airport and the girls, both blondes, were a few steps ahead of me. Suddenly, from the left, a tall, dark-complected man started watching the girls and then, began moving toward them.
I intentionally was wearing sandals so I could easily remove them. When the man moved in, I moved up (Chizik would be proud of my moves). I put on my fierce “touch my girls and you are dead meat” face. I glared at him.
He moved off.
Quickly.
How do you keep them down on the farm,
after they've seen Paree?
Although I adhere to a pan-mil viewpoint, I keep jumping up and down. Rapture practice, ya' know.
;o)
Italics aren't hard. You may copy and paste these instructions.
Before a word or phrase you want italicized, put this symbol:
<
Now write your word.
Then put:
>
Thusly, your tags should look like:
<thusly>
Copy and paste.
I messed up those instructions. Let me try again:
P>Before a word or phrase you want italicized, put this symbol:
<i>
Now write your word.
Then put:
< /i>
Thusly, your tags should look like:
<i>thusly</i>
Copy and paste.
Hey! You’re up!
