On Monday (February 1), U.S. President Barack Obama released his proposed fiscal year 2011 budget, which includes a three-year moratorium on non-military discretionary spending. In an effort to turn the tide of a projected deficit of US$1.27 trillion, the White House is also looking to slash spending in a number of government departments and programs.

Equilateral triangles on a two mile scale for one thing. Nature does not do perfect triangles on that scale.
NASA went out of the manned space exploration business in 1974. All else after was just to keep constituents happy.

The Kennedy Space Center resides in Brevard County, which historical votes Republican. Posey is also a representative for the south part of the county and you won’t find very many congresscritters that are as conservative as he is. As for Kosmos, I believe she is against Obama’s plan for NASA and voted against Obamacare.
It has been my experience that most engineers and technical folks are conservatives...not all but most....to say that NASA is like most “gubmint workers” is painting with too wide a brush.
