Is anyone else concerned the gov't is advertising the Christmas bomber is talking?

It might just be me, but in my humble opinion, you simply DON'T advertise what is, or isn't, being said by an enemy of the state since that info can and will be used by the enemy to adjust strategy.

Since it's being advertised he's talking and there is "actionable intelligence" being gathered, it seems to me that any information he's providing is totally useless since adjustments have already been made.

Let people complain that nothing is being done, but you needn't advertise the success, if any.

I wonder how much success the WOT under Bush had that we never heard about and will never know.

Loose lips sink ships, and this gov't has loose lips. NEVER give the enemy the advantage which is what they've done here.

Just my 2 cents.

Doesn’t surprise me. If you look at obama’s pattern he is doing the 180 degree opposite of everything Bush and Cheney did. Most specifically when it comes to homeland security.

1. I don't believe he is talking. This is, imo, back-track cya by the DOJ.

2. If he is talking then it is due to pressure from family (according to reports) not anything LE did.

I find the government to either be the most inept institution I’ve ever seen - OR - the most incredibly cunning evil one.

I can’t make up my mind which.

Bush and Cheney were on OUR side. You have to wonder about this guy.

Fox&Friends just commented on that point.

Their contention: If the briefs-bomber is talking and telling ‘where’ he trained, etc., al-Qaeda will pick up their tents and move to a new location.

It is reminiscent of several Congressmen rushing to the cameras shortly after 911 to reveal what-all the government was doing. IIRC, it was Sen. Orin Hatch who revealed that the government was tracking Osama bin Laden’s cellphone — which bin Laden immediately dumped in the trash.

You can’t see this, but I’m shaking my head, slowly, from side to side while rolling my eyes.

Covering up Eric Holder's “miranda” decision by telling the world “see! the terrorist is talking!”

is more important to obama’s handlers than national security and keeping intelligence secrets

We can expect no less from obama’s insane clown posse

Why should we believe anything Obama says?
He’s a proven liar.

Whether he's talking or not, there's benefit in having the opposition think he's talking. I doubt he's opened his mouth. But if all of a sudden you let it slip that he's singing like a bird and giving us the good stuff, and you're prepared ahead of time to observe the reactions, then you can watch for signs that they're shifting things around and redeploying and track them from there.

I hate to say this, but any more, I don’t really care.

The majority of the electorate who bothered to vote elected this government. This government was very open about what they intended to do once they gained power, but they were elected anyway.

Bottom line: elections have consequences.

These people are TEENAGERS. They have NO sense of propriety or tact.
They’ve watched the political ‘game’ on tv their whole lives thinking -”I can do that!” and now they are. Pretending.

I don’t wonder about him. I know that he is not on our side. I know that he was put in the position he is in for one reason and one reason only. To destroy the United States as a World power andindustrail Nation. And thus far, he is succeeding.

The local news did this as their national story, and they proclaimed it as a “victory”. Yes, that was their word. The US government had persuaded his family to come and convince him to “tell us what he knows” and the report added that he was talking, even though he “didn’t have to”. It was a “look how great we are” story, but all I heard was that he was “read his rights” which he should not have! Victory has been redefined, it is no longer on the battlefield, but in the world of wackos, it is by what they think they now know.

Obama can’t handle criticism. Bush never allowed the critics to compromise any intel gathering and dissemination because he cared about the American people. This clown only cares about his public image.

I disagree. They are evil and power hungry. They know exactly what they are doing. They came to power with an agenda and day by day they are implementing it.
