This will definitely happen. (Cain/Abel/Jacob/Esau)
That would be cool!
It’s the only primetime show I watch other than 24 and 24 doesn’t even come close.
It’s the combination of appealing charactors and good actors and good layered storywriting that makes it special.
Just some random musings. Anyone notice that:
The Lost writers are introducing a lot of structures similar to the Seven Wonders of the World. The temple could be the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the lighthouse could be the Lighthouse of Alexandria and the large statue where Jacob lived could be the Colossus of Rhodes? The rest of the Seven Wonders would be:
Great Pyramid of Giza
Statue of Zeus at Olympia
Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus
And what happened to that large stone circle with the hole in it the survivors found some time ago?
Meanwhile, Jack is a spinal surgeon, connects the wires, Jack’s son plays the piano (wires) and Jacob was working on some tapestry on a loom (more wires).
Related. Flocke keeps offering everyone what they most desire. Maybe Jacob needs Jack/Jack’s son to give Locke what he needs (fixing his wires) in order to defeat Flocke/Esau/Cain.
Toward the end of the Lighthouse episode, Hurley seems to be acting very much like Jacob in leading Jack to the Lighthouse and operating the mirror. Only afterward does Jacob appear seperate and tells Hurley he’s got ink on his forehead. My guess, Jacob can possess people.
The samurai’s baseball is representative of Yin-Yang (think about the stitching), which of course this entire season is about.
I like the new Claire. Anyway, fun season so far.
The way MIB is always promising stuff to people reminds me a little of Satan.
For whoever is interested, SciFi wire has an update on progress being made on the final episodes. Some spoilers, so I will not post entire article.

Creators of ABC’s Lost told fans that they’re fighting over what goes in and what stays out of the series finale, which they’re now writing.
Co-creator and executive producer Damon Lindelof described writing the finale as completing a jigsaw puzzle, and there are only a few pieces left in the box. But the staff still has to be sure which ones they want to put together. “Now we just have to start putting things into place and say, ‘Are we sure that that’s what we wanted to do?’” Lindelof said over the weekend in interviews before a panel at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, Calif. “’No, let’s talk about that a little bit longer. Are we sure that’s what we wanted to do? Yes, absolutely. In fact, that’s what we have to do, because we set it up two years ago.’”
Oops didn't respond to these most important questions. lol. Sure 1-5 happened. Otherwise Juliet couldn't have detonated the bomb that has brought reasonable peace to their current alternative universe existence. Lord knows the events that have happened around us that enable us to watch this TV program every Tuesday uninterrupted. :-)
And if that's true, what was the point of everything?
entertainment.
you got that right.
He sure found Sayid’s weak spot in a hurry.
What’s there to argue about? Nikki and Paulo come back, kill off Locke, redeem Sayid and help Hurley lose weight. Nuff said.
And not purgatory. They just better not go there. Lindelof is Roman Catholic, so who knows?
Not sure. We may have to interpret anything Biblical ourselves. That's ok with me. There's already good vs evil kind of stuff. That's biblical.
I’m thinking there may be something about what happens to those who die in the new Side Lost universe. Like Charlie, Juliette and Libby dying in the new alternate reality and then becoming free to return to the old Island Lost universe.
Also, I need to check on what happened when the original survivors found the two skeletons in the cave. I remember there was something about black and white stones, but were they male/female as in Adam and Eve? If so, could that mean the Island is Eden?
< I doubt it--Adam and Eve were banished from Eden. They didn't die there.
I was thinking of Smokey as the snake, after all as FLocke he seems to offering temptation to everyone. Also the Tree of Life was located in Eden, which would explain Richard.
same here....we started watching it 2nd show in at a neices house.....been our show ever since...she doesn't even watch it...
and where did Ben go?...he wasn’t with Ilana and that group and he didn’t leave with Claire and Kate out the front door with Flocke....
although, that would make sense..weeding out the iffy "candidates" for heaven...lol
