That was awesome, thanks! This guy has a way better memory than I do. :)
Thanks for the new links. Those are good ones!
It’s so rewarding to have all the Lostaways and their amazing stories back again! As for Sayid, I am somewhat mystified. Obviously he figures into Jacob’s plans for doing battle with his nemesis FakeLocke (the man in black). Yet, so does Desmond! As has been said and implied in several previous episodes, Desmond is the wild card. What the heck was he doing on the 815 flight that finally made its way to LAX without crashing? He was never on that flight. And where did he disappear to after having his weird conversation with Jack? Desmond is still the only character for whom we have no clue about his parentage, his childhood, or his origins. And, he’s the only one who was busy time traveling and doing things to try to effect the future well before anyone else seemed to know what was going on. We’ve seen that Jacob touched every one of our Lostaways at some point in their lives prior to the 815 crash, whether in their childhoods (as with Kate and Sawyer), or their adulthoods (as with Jack, Sayid, Locke and Hurley). Did Jacob meet and touch Desmond some time prior to when we’ve seen any of Desmond’s back story?
I have a theory that neither Jacob nor FakeLocke can be allowed to win their seemingly eternal game. The universe ultimately must contain paradox, duality and shades of gray. The only way for either Jacob or FakeLocke to win is for them both to win by reconciling their dual natures, methinks. So, I’m betting on BOTH Sayid and Desmond turning up as the “new” Jacob and the “new” man in black at some point before the end of the series. As to which will be which, I haven’t yet decided in my theory. I still also expect John Locke to somehow return as the Real John Locke, perhaps when Jack performs spinal surgery on him, paralleling the spinal surgery Ben got in season 3. It’s apparent there’s still a little spark of John inside the new FakeLocke...and, afterall, Jacob did touch John Locke (even perhaps already raised him from the dead once after he was pushed from the skyscraper window).
I’m pretty sure Jacob knew the man in black would eventually find a loophole and a way to kill him, and Jacob’s been putting his Plan B (and Plan C, D, etc.) into effect for eons. Perhaps the man in black knows the same, and also has Plan B’s and Plan C’s, ad infinitum. Plus, there is still a higher authority (God) above Jacob and the man in black that we can never count out of the ultimate end game. I’m also still leaning to there being more to Ben than we yet know. Welcome back, LOST. I’ve missed you!
Did he land on the Island with the “The Black Rock”?
Still curious why he doesn’t age.
I have a prediction too, and I think I finally got into the writer's heads.
In the last scene the camera pans back and reveals that all of the cast members are mental patients in a hospital. They are all sitting at a table playing one of those reality board games where you draw a card and act out the part in your own imagination. The entire series was a figment of their imaginations and it ends when Hurley quits and wants some more fried chicken.
mine is a good guy/bad guy world ...its simpler that way...
This is how the Fringe alternate universe started.
The LAX that Jack et al. landed in is in an America that has the NY WTC but not the White House and Pentagon in DC.
Oh, and in that universe Juliet works for the FBI fighting off alien invasions.

Arrgghh—I didn’t make it onto the ping list like you promised last week!!
“Please forgive me for not pinging you to yesterdays show”
No apologies are necessary or due, thanks! And thanks for running this list; I very much look forward to reading the interesting summaries you link.
I show you on the list...hmmmm

John, Do you have any guesses why this would happen?
I don't understand it. It really wasn't there earlier--and I was never notified I had been pinged.
I’m not used to this Tuesday night airing either. Of course this is a show about time travel, so guess it’s ok to keep the viewers guessing what night and what time it will air. :)
Thanks for the ping. I wish I didn’t have to agree 100% with the recapper you linked to, because it sure made for an annoying, boring episode.
It’s The Others, he’s right. Their episodes are always repetitious, illogical, and needlessly violent. Every.single.time. And, as the recapper notes, they never ever answer questions even when it would be easier to achieve their goals if they did. The tagline for this final season’s promos has been something like: “No more questions...the time for answers is here”. That’s going to be total B.S. if there are any more Other-centric episodes.
I’m also going to high five the recapper’s conclusion that he hopes FakeLocke busts into the temple and kills every damn one of The Others.
This was easily one of the three worst LOST episodes in the last 4 years. How disappointing.
Yeh, that episode sucked. The Others are annoying and I can’t wait for that storyline to go away...let’s get on with answers, already! Jeesh!
The whole episode was the last 10 minutes. Claire-alive Sawyer-self pity Kate-interfering and nosy Sayid-infected.
There was a strong hatred on Imdb for last night’s episode. It was ok, but people were going ballistic. Next week, Locke is back and should make for a better episode.
I noticed they never show Locke after a Locke-heavy episode. Can’t wait to see how Lockemonster is getting along with Richard Ben and the real Others.

I thought it was a good episode as well. Looking forward to tonight!
