The boy president can propose all he wants, but in 2011 budget priorities will be set by a Republican House of Representatives.

Ares I is the best way to the space station regardless of building the moon equipment. He lies as usual.

Another step in Obama destroying what remaining working rocket/missile technology that we have.
Can’t have nukes or defense without missiles and rockets.

Question, how did the Constellation program failed as a moon program?? Never expect accuracy or the truth from the Obama administration.
To: KevinDavis
That’s easy. There was this man in American history who wanted to diminish and marginalize America. Any advancement, superiority or potential for superiority had to be destroyed whether economically, politically, militarily or technological. His name was hurricane obama.
To: Red Steel
"Never expect accuracy or the truth from the Obama administration."Just like NASA can only claim signs of life on Mars so many times, they should have never said they discovered water on the Moon.

its all about climate change, green jobs and the what people in Europe think about America.
The original space program developed new technologies which are now responsible for hundreds of millions of jobs. It also increased America's standing in the world considerably.
If you're going to have government boondoggles anyway, they might as well be gigantic projects that benefit society at large but which individuals could not accomplish on their own. For example: Hoover Dam, the Interstate Highway System, or Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles.
Individuals can buy their own health care or day care or Kindergarten snacks. This big stuff is the proper role of government, when they have a role at all.
