No Moon Trips: Obama's Space Vision a 'Paradigm Shift'

President Obama's plan for America's space program, according to early reports, represents a fundamental shift for human spaceflight, some experts say.

The reports suggest the Obama administration intends to move toward relying on commercially-built spacecraft, rather than NASA's own vehicles, to carry humans to low-Earth orbit. The plan would also involve extending the International Space Station's lifetime and abandoning current plans to send astronauts on moon missions by 2020.

The “dreams” of BO’s “father” doesn’t involve going into space. Shades of Moms Mabley’s feather and black astronauts joke.

BARACK OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!! NOT TRUE! YOU LIE!

Sen. Barack Obama Pledges Space Advocacy

TITUSVILLE - Sen. Barack Obama promised not to cut NASA funding and said Saturday at a town hall meeting he will rely on Florida Sen. Bill Nelson and revered astronaut and former Sen. John Glenn to help form his space policy.

“Under my watch, NASA will inspire the world once again and is going to help grow the economy right here in Brevard County,” said the presumptive Democratic nominee, speaking to a crowd of 1,400 at Brevard Community College’s Titusville campus.

Obama has changed an earlier position, in which he planned to delay the Constellation program five years and use up to $5 billion from the NASA budget for education.

“Here’s what I’m committing to: Continue Constellation. We’re going to close the gap (between the end of shuttle flight and the next program, Constellation). We may have additional shuttle flights,” he said.

This is just one more part of Obama’s redistributive change - the money will be spent, and more, to reward his dependent supporters and the US will be taken down another notch in the world.

He wants to keep those social engineering programs going at any cost—more important to all of the politicians than space exploration.

“Obama’s Space Vision a ‘Paradigm Shift’”

Correct. The Paradigm Shift moves the US from being the world's leading manned space faring nation to China, Russia, India, and Japan as the world's space faring nations, with US personnel along for the ride... if there is room.

One potential problem with denial is competition, and the possibility that the competition might not be in denial. The race is now on to see who gets the first up close look at those Cydonia megaliths, and what if anything might be inside any of them. Going on claiming that those things are natural formations is no longer an option.

Not if it means that NASA being in denial could mean India or China getting there before we do; that would be disgraceful.

Perfect summary of my thoughts. India or China will then be able to overtake us; and Obama will say; “It’s about time”.

In denial of what? Mainly unambiguous evidence of Mars having been inhabited in past ages.

Face Image, April 2001, MOC image
http://www.msss.com/mars_images/moc/extended_may2001/face/

Nature, of course, does not do straight lines or Bezier curves on a three mile scale. Aside from eye sockets, nostrils, lips, and a helmet or head dress of some sort involving smooth curves, we observe the following: Nobody would build such a thing with carved stones; what you would do is pile stones into the general shape you wanted and then pour some sort of a hard facing material like concrete over the stones. Assuming such a structure were many thousands of years old and given a planet on which sand and wind were in plentiful supply, you would expect to see that hard facing weathered away on the windward side and falling away in slabs on the leeward side. In the picture thus obviously, the wind and sand come from the lower left.

D&M Pyramid, 2003 image
http://www.mactonnies.com/dmphotos.html

Nature does not do five-sided pyramids with multiple equilateral triangles either. The official word from NASA is still that this is a natural land form. Unofficial word is that NASA and the JPL are about evenly split with about half of the researchers willing to believe their eyes and the other half still caught in the paradigm bottle.

There is of course no way to picture Mars ever having been habitable enough for this stuff to get built given standard theories about the history of our solar system. That basically means that those theories are wrong, and a lot of NASA types still do not want to go there. Again, they were able to get by with that when we were the only nation capable of getting to Mars; that is no longer the case.

Oh yeah, before anybody else says it, there will always be one or two losers piping up claiming that all they see in those images is rocks, that's also inexcusable in an age when Walmart sells good reading glasses for $15.

Alternate views are far less compelling and far more ambiguous.
