Wow, Neil Young, Conan and NBC really missed the boat for a great comic opportunity tonight on Conan's last show by NOT having Neil Young sing "Pants on the Ground", a la Jimmy's impression of Neil doing the same a couple of nights ago. Very sad and missed insight...IMO. (I was truly shocked when it Did Not happen)... And it's all NBCers. :-(=
Re Niel Young - “Southern man don’t need him ‘round, anyhow”
Instead of getting paid he should have to pay NBC for polluting TV!
Beck was there as well. It sure looked like one of the ZZ guys...
Conan was the host of the Tonight Show for the shortest time on record.
Yeah, my daughter noticed Beck, and that made me think that maybe the ZZ Top-looking dude was the real dude. But I thought his name was Billy something? And I didn’t recognize that beautiful pregnant woman. Was she Ferrell’s wife? I wonder who else famous or semi-famous was playing in that band?
Anyway, it was a pretty cool finale. Conan knows what to do with an axe as well..
Yeah, that was Beck, Billy Gibbons, and Ben Harper with Will Ferrell on Free Bird:

The girl was Ferrell’s wife, Viveca Paulin.
You gotta wonder if Barry had something to do with Conan getting fired.
1. Barry endorsed Conan's show and any endorsement from Barry is the "kiss of death". Just ask Martha Coakley.
2. Out of all the late night talk show hosts, Conan was the only one to have Sarah Palin on his show.
Maybe Barry, Rahm and Axlerod didn't like what they saw so they gave Jeff Zucker at NBC a phone call, told him to fire Conan and bring back Jay.
Agree with you, dalereed.
I’ve never found Conan to be funny (or Letterman, either). I believe he’s a frustrated wannabe for some freaky off-Broadway musicals.
Leno had great monologues and an interesting mixture of guests and bits. Conan, like Letterman, is even more focused on the liberal left than Leno and never has presented a balance of guests that might tend to be conservative. People in Middle America liked seeing something that wasn’t totally East or West coast liberal all of the time.
Conan’s show was like something produced by NPR/PBS; all liberal, all the time. He’s a multi-millionaire, so all of the whining about him getting canned by the very liberal NBC means nothing. Point remains that he took the Tonight Show from #1 to last place in a very short time. Maybe he can get a 30 minute show on the Comedy Channel.
Must be a generational thing, as I can’t stand Kimmel or Fallon, either, but I do like Craig Ferguson.
If you still like 4th grade potty jokes I suppose he is!
Actually, Leno goes for the blue stuff. Conan is much more intellectually humorous, along with the crazy fun stuff, too. Conan actually makes me laugh; the way Letterman did way back when.....
I must be overlooking something!
I can’t wait until TBS pulls the plug on this jackass, too.
Even his promos cause a reflex gag.
