I was in Oklahoma City on business and got up about 6:00 AM and went down to the hotel lobby to drink some coffe before heading out to the airport. I sat down on a couch and noticed the guy sitting next to me was Johnny Unitas. We talked football for about a half hour. You’re right a very nice guy with no pretensions at all.
That’s an incredible story. Unitas is one of those guys that transcends the sport, like Vince Lombardi or Tom Landry.

I flew from DFW to L.A. sitting next to Terry Bradshaw. really nice guy and we had a great discussion, but the one thing he did NOT want to talk about was football.
Started what? I didn’t even refer to the game.

I gotta tell you in my travels around the country when in the Army I have never seen such shallow, uniformed, dispassionate fans as they have here in Maryland. Both the Oreos and Ravens should leave because Marylanders are too stupid to appreciate or even understand professional sports.
Its the same flaws that cause them to elect liberals election after election. Total dimwits.
Boy, what else do you talk about with Bradshaw. I guess you could talk about all the good movies he's been in but it would be an awful short conversation.

I don’t think it was that good. Ravens are full of stupid penalties - as well as “bad” ones. Never mind just ineptitude - fumbling twice after an interception!
I think they should just bench everyone that keeps making penalties and play the 2nd or 3rd. They need discipline.

Family, business travel stories (he HATES to fly commercial: with good reason), life on the set, etc. — the same kind of stuff you talk about with any business traveler.
Funny how when you meet a guy like that, he seems just like you. THE GREAT ONES ARE ALWAYS HUMBLE. Go Colts!!!

The only guy who I have met that was so humble like Johnny Unitas was Joe Paterno. Not a ounce of self importance in them.
