>>You know way too much about that show, LOL :)<<
LOL!! Part and parcel of the culture wars... The guy I listen to in the morning (Bill Handel KFI 640) has 2 tweens so he has talked about it from time to time.
But these days it is all about the Twilight movies.
That's a good question.
If he had to sing for the save tonight, (and if the judges gave him the false hope that he could actually be saved) I bet he'd sing something else.
Hey, someone told me tonight that the lead actor on Human Target was in the military and served in the first Desert Storm. How great is that? I hope its true, cause I kinda like the show. :)
Yep it is true (just googled Mark Valley). I didn't know that.
Ugh. I can't even LOL at that.
Okay, maybe a little one: lol :)
LOLOL!
I’m starting to really hate my local news.
LOL!
Is NC in? I've been avoiding the news as much as I can the last couple of days. I've been contemplating moving to Virginia, LOL
What a night! I’m glad I spent the entire evening drinking with Katie’s dad across the street.
Wow. I like Siobhan a lot, but the "Siozombies" REALLY freak me out. I don't think they are doing her any favors.
LOL! Ya'll are tough on the girl. I am not afraid to admit I love Miley! Love Hannah Montana, loved the movie, have all her music, was crazy about Billy Ray all those years ago, crazy about him now, and I don't even have a daughter ;) I loved her tonight. Way to show the newbs how it's done!
I didn't know that! I love Mark Valley, but the show is really cheesy. Dang it! I hate it when people I love do sucky stuff.
We like the show too. It’s cute and I love the brother Jackson. Miley sang a song in the movie that I really like called Butterfly Fly Away.. really sweet sentiments in it.
No it is not true. I am not a source for News Corp buying Fox.
I said floriduh voter made news by noting that Fox was going Disney. I drew the conclusion of the possible merger.
I guess it is a case of 2+2=7
Where the media is concerned, I hate nothing more than the anecdotal way they report “news”.
Why don’t they ever find that 28 yr-old surfer dude or ski bum who only works part time and bunks with 4 buddies so he can be there for the big wave or new powder. Or the 25-yr old wannabe actor/weekend valet parking attendant in Malibu? When I lived in California, those were the guys who worked part time at my company-—and there were lots of them.
I guess I have to add those who quit their jobs to be a contestant on American Idol, too! Even when Pelosi specifically referred to helping “artists chasing their dream”....even then the media didn’t pursue that angle.
I think it’s great-—even romantic-—for a young person to pursue their dream. Ski bums and surfer dudes are “sexy” and idolized. Fine. I just don’t want to pay for their indulgence.
Dennis Miller talked about this last night. He’s the only one who ever addresses that aspect of “health care”. Dennis: “I want to help the helpless. I don’t care about the clueless!”.
In Hollywood week, she blew the doors off of "Living For City" and even though she screamed a little in that song it had NOTHING to do with why the judges picked her. When she growls and sings things with a strong voice, that's when she kicks ass! Her low register sux!!
If you go back and listen to "Living For City" and "Think" other than the screams, she delivers some vocal and stage presence moments in those songs which are brilliant.
I just took (the coherent parts of) that as basically being "yeah, I played it 'safe' this week, because making the tour is so important, so I just went with what worked for me before."
Part of her appeal and charm is unpredictability, so she really does need to start mixing it up a bit and avoid getting "formula".
LMAO
Definitely. I think Simon knows what he's talking about big time. She's not singing or arranging the songs to make them relevant. I mean WTF, they had 100 years of BB top 100 and all of them picked songs that were 20 years or older?
She has the ability and vocal range to blow the doors off just about any song, I mean she kicked ass on THINK! I listened to it enough times to know this girl has something special and it's not the scream. I think she's likes the throw backs because of her hippie dad.
The best thing Siobhan can do next week is a current song without the scream. A STRONG sounding vocal is all she needs. If she would go back and look and listen to Living For The City and sing a song that way, no one is going to touch her...Crystal is great, but she's a one trick, Lilith fair pony.
Gotta play to the fan base. I believe this year that no one over the age of 8 1/2 is voting.
Heads up!
We are approaching the 10,000th post!
