There have been several that I thought were ready for recording contracts already. Cant remember ever saying that in other seasons. Now that you mention it, a lot of them did seem polished. Not just with their singing, but with the stage presence too.

Good singers, good night, good thread! Tomorrow we’re on at nine so I’ll be here with bells on. Or diamonds. Perhaps I’ll wear a boa. ;)

well I have interest in a number of things. However, I have no real experience in any of them in order to make money.
I do know one thing quite well, customer service. I’ve done it in some capacity since I was 16 years old. I’m good at it and I know people. My dream is a reflection of that I suppose.
I just don’t want to spend the rest of my life doing something I don’t feel fulfilled with. I don’t have to be passionate but as you say, don’t want to do something I hate either.
Imagine being someone like Rush who does EXACTLY what he wants to be doing and what he truly believes he was born to do. How awesome is that?!
The Lord gave us all special talents, many of us never figure out what that is. I can’t think of anything much better than knowing your purpose.

This is our first blizzard of the season...they closed the city schools this morning. The snow has just started and they’re predicting 12”-18”. As I was buying boots today I heard your husband’s Idol song in a really rocker style...was it him or Adam?

You know, that’s really it- doing something fulfilling or rewarding. Feeling like you are making an impact in some way.
Okay, I have to stop, I’m getting too maudlin even for me. LOL

What I would like is to not have to discuss Ellens sexual orientation anymore. Agreed. She is what she is. Calling her a lesbian, etc. in every other post won't change it.
As long as Ellen doesn't make an issue of her lifestyle (at least while she's on Idol), I won't either.

Are we really going to discuss this every week?I hope not.
Is there anyone that doesn't know Ellen is a lesbian? I see no need to keep reminding us.

Never mind that.
What I really want toknow about Ellen:
Are her eyes really that blue, or does she wear extra-blue contact lenses?
I liked that Kara was subdued tonight. Ellen may be a good influence on her.

This one needs a dentist. And how.
She could be included in the Big Book of British Smiles.

Thanks for the ping. I had to tape and watch later. I thought the show was good with some really good performances. Unfortunately, the group thingy is going to ruin it for some of them. I don’t know why that has to be part of the competition when they are going to be solo artists.
And you know...I don’t see them being able to use Stern. There’s no way he can control what comes out of his mouth and I highly doubt the network would take the risk. Besides, Stern has badmouthed Ellen.
To: Palladin
One of our twin boys has light blue eyes with a dark ring, much like Ellen’s. He also has blond hair and is a big flirt (though they’re only three! - almost). I forsee unplugging the phone on weeknights about ten years from now .... :)
