Wonderful news about Marissa and Mr.Mittens. Has Mr. Mittens lost a lot of weight or something? I may have missed that information.

Jaycee ... I sat here glued to the TV until that dog was rescued.

That rescue was amazing.

Do you know how Lori made out with the storms, flooding, etc.?
Just wondering. Some are really have rough times!

Me, too, Amy. I was so afraid for the little thing. He was in that water a long, long time. They said he may have bitten his rescuer. It was just so afraid. Those things really get to me!!

I’m glad they rescued it - I keep going to the hummingbird web cam, that Meg posted this morning!

And, then, flipping to our local channel - because we just had a white-out all morning, and they are keeping up with the weather. I had to go out with a broom, and shake the snow off some of the weaker limbs of my weeping spruce. Got soaking wet, as the flakes were as big as silver dollars!

Jaycee .... MrMittens comes in every morning for breakfast. Most mornings, he eats half a can (or more) of cat food and begs for more. If he doesn’t get more, he will eat dry cat food.

About 4 days ago he started leaving half of his canned food and just nibbles at the dry. I don’t think he has lost weight but I really just wanted him checked because of the way he was acting. Doc said he looks fine. He ate some this morning and then wanted outside.

I haven't heard from Lori but I think everything should be fine. She lives a about 20 miles south of my son and he hasn't mentioned any problems. Just more rain than we are accustomed to.

We all know our kids and our critters and we can tell when they’re sick. Maybe kitty just put himself on a diet a few days (and like you say, he could have been eating mice...ewww) But cats love mice!! You can tell in a day or two if he gets back to normal or not. Hope he’s alright!

Did it do any damage at your place?

There was a lot of damage in Huntsville but I live about half way between Huntsville and New Market. The funnel cloud was coming toward us and I was standing on the deck at the back door watching when it crossed Chapman Mountain (a big hill between us and Huntsville) the funnel lifted up and disappeared. I don't think it ever reformed again.

Glad it didn’t bother your place but sorry for the ones who may have been hit. When you saw the funnel cloud, did you go in or watch it? Knowing how my husband was, he would have probably stayed out there. He loved watching thunder storms with lightning, etc....NOT ME...LOL!
