Season 8 Premiers on SUNDAY NIGHT, January 17 with a TWO hour opening episode at 9 Eastern.
On Monday night we are treated to ANOTHER two hour episode again starting at 9 Eastern.
Hard to tell which way this episode will swing...back to the tough as nails UN-PC style or will we get more handwringing and Islamo-Gaia Love like last year?

This season starts off in NYC with Jack trying to establish a 'normal' life with his daughter. But...some stuff goes down at the UN and "that's when the day starts to go wrong" as Jack puts it...
The appeal of Katie Sackoff is not her looks, though she looks like your best friend’s kid sister. It is that she is Starbuck and as Starbuck she kicked ass in Jack Bauer proportions and on top of that was a fighter pilot. She was mean and even tortured and waterboarded the enemy cackling with glee as she did so. She was also held hostage by an immortal enemy who could resurect when he died so what did Starbuck do? She killed him, over and over and over, once in the middle of dinner which she went back to eating as her foe’s carcass laid bleeding by the dinner table. That is her appeal. I really hope she goes all Starbuck in her new role on 24.
Yes, there should be a cemetary scene with Chloe.
Edgar is so missed by me that’s for sure. We laughed and we cried everytime Louie would pop up on the TV screen......

Last night’s season eight premiere of 24 performed well for Fox, early viewing figures show.
The first two hours of the new season - covering 4pm to 6pm - averaged 11.4m across the 8pm to 10pm period, slipping from its first half-hour to its second and holding steady for the rest of the night.
Earlier, at 8pm, Human Target’s series premiere drew 10.1m.

For the life of me, I can’t remember the name of the character played by Katie Sackoff. Neither can my wife. We just called her “Starbuck.” If this character is even half the badass Starbuck was, the terrorists have no chance at all and Jack will not have to slow down for her. In fact he would have to up his game to meet her bodycount since she has a penchant for killing enemies more than once.
LMAO! Every time they show her, I hear Jerry talking about man-hands. "Those meaty paws, I feel like I'm dating George the Animal Steele."

I know! I'm trying to get my snacks ready. Freddie makes me feel guilty for eating bad snacks, so I think I'm going to go for an apple with a little peanut butter and some sugar-free hot chocolate.
