Richard Branson's new commercial spacecraft, Enterprise, will transport the musicians to just outside the Earth's atmosphere where they can enjoy about 5 minutes of weightlessness and time to play one hit song.

Hee hee. I like SB well enough, but please, no one else wanted to go into space?

Reminds me of the “Frank and Earnest” comic when John Denver was trying to get into space (on the Challenger, btw).
The comic was “So John Denver wants to go into space”, the reply was “Great! Wait, are they going to bring him back?!”

For some reason I get the forgettable bands mixed up.

That’s ok, so do I.

How about Elton “Rocket Man” John...
or Brian Eno, who did the soundtrack to the Apollo documentary?

"Dave, what are you doing?"

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

They only had one hit in the US, True, which is not their best song in my opinion. Does PM Dawn's "Set Adrift in Memory Bliss" count.

How about Boston

Foreplay sounds kinda "spacey".

Of course they’ll need someone to replace Brad Delp (if thats possible).

They only had one hit in the US, True, Gee, I thought that metrosexual whine belonged to George Michael.

LOL! Had to find it to listen it. Normally, that kind of rework (hard to call it a "cover") makes me want to puke. That one is almost tolerable. Almost.
In the original "True" there's a line: "Listening to Marvin all night long." It's a reference to Marvin Gaye. References to American R&B/Motown artists were worked into the songs of many British pop groups of the era. One example: "When Smokey Sings" by ABC (who remembers THEM?). That's a paen to Smokey Robinson.
Worthless pop song trivia. I'm a deep well of the stuff.

I guess Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark wasn’t available. (I always got those two groups mixed up)

There's nothing metrosexual about George Michael. He's full on flaming.
But generally, yeah, Wham, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet-- they all tended to share that highly processed over-refined European sound that 80s British groups had. Not everybody likes it, but I must admit: I do. Heck, I can even tolerate an occasional . . .
Now that I think about it, I'd send HIM up.
To: The Comedian
Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill, and think things over.

I'm always confusing Prefab Sprout with Toad the Wet Sprocket--and they're not even from the same era let alone the same continent.
