But not until 2011

Broadcom has hinted that 20Mp cameraphones able to record 1080p video could be available by 2011, following the release of its latest multimedia processor.

The BCM2763 VideoCore IV multimedia processor for mobile devices was developed using 40 nanometer CMOS process technology, Broadcom said.

This means it boasts a smaller footprint and lower power consumption than existing 65 nanometer chips, Broadcom promised, but perhaps more importantly that the 40 nanometer design can support 20Mp image processing and one gigapixel 2D and 3D graphics rendering.

The minute I go out and buy something new, I can guarantee you that it will be obsolete in a week.

Question for fellow Consumers: DISH-Tv, DirectTV or go with the new Charter Bundle for 2years? Don’t care about sports packages..

I want to keep HDTV...any suggestions?

We have DISH with HD, and “basic” cable with HD for the locals!

DirecTV is in trouble, Verizon(?) may buy them, plus DirecTV has high cancellation fees, (over $400), if you cancel early...

As for local cable bundles, they will be costlier with HD service plus cable is limited with HD selection, (severe pixellation can occur).

What would I do with a 20 Megapixel picture? I don’t have a tv or computer screen that can display it. My printer doesn’t have that fine a resolution.

Hmm.I think DishTV will get local channels here-CT-but the cable HD-DVR bundle is $179 for 2 years (phone, internet etc).
Is DISH a 2 year deal?

$179 a month if you sign up for 2 years...$50 for internet , $25 for phone $100 for “basic expanded plus”..

I live in a forest setting(lots a big pines!) and am worried about getting a dish; I’ve had cable and had no problem, but DISH seems less expensive?
