I bet the Bimini Road is part of it, I was watching a documentary on this last weekend and it seemed plausible.

I never watch MSNBC and just confirmed why.

Does this putz think he is funny or witty or what? He is none of the above.

What age group does this kind of TV appeal to 9 to 13 year olds?

It’s at the west end of Cuba - it’s been filmed and put on TV before. The problem was getting down there with the right equipment and with permission from Cuba.

A coupla years ago, I recall that a team (French?) published photos taken less than a hundred miles west of Cuba at a depth of half a mile or so, which showed similar indications of huge ancient artifacts. But these were nearly buried under shifting sands.

The shots in this video are described by the announcer as “satellite photos.” If he’s right, these ain’t under deep waters and therefore should have been spotted from aircraft by now.

If he’s just mistaken and these ARE new underwater shots, the artifacts’ high degree of orthogonality and huge spread are certainly remarkable. However, their freedom from obscuring sedimentary deposits suggest that the photos are fakes or that the artifacts are situated in fairly shallow waters.

So again, if we’re talking shallow waters, I wonder why something this remarkable hasn’t been spotted before? If real, they are even more remarkable than the underwater forms at Yonaguni.

Might be something to this, or not. Have always believed there are probably several undiscovered, ancient civilizations which we know nothing about. Would be fascinating if one were actually discovered and explored.

These are the cities that went under when the sea level rose due to AGW. Atlantean Global Warming.

Are you familiar enough with the location to know if there is anything to see on google earth?

The sea levels fell during the last ice age, which also reduced or wiped out the people living too close to the poles. Civilization would have flourished on the tropical coasts. And, when the ice age ended and the seas rose again, those civilizations would have been lost. Overland trade routes would have been lost, cities would have been flooded, arable land would have been lost, the climate change would have made growing familiar crops much more difficult, and a scattered remnant would have to relearn hunting and gathering to survive. Maybe.

Is there an ancient civilization there? Possibly.

Is it Plato’s Atlantis? I doubt it. I don’t see how the Greeks would have had contact with a civilization in Cuba and have no written record of it, given the seafaring technology of the time.

If there was an “Atlantis”, the Crete/Santorini theory seems the most plausible.

Plato introduced Atlantis in Timaeus:

For it is related in our records how once upon a time your State stayed the course of a mighty host, which, starting from a distant point in the Atlantic ocean, was insolently advancing to attack the whole of Europe, and Asia to boot. For the ocean there was at that time navigable; for in front of the mouth which you Greeks call, as you say, ‘the pillars of Heracles,’ there lay an island which was larger than Libya and Asia together; and it was possible for the travelers of that time to cross from it to the other islands, and from the islands to the whole of the continent over against them which encompasses that veritable ocean. For all that we have here, lying within the mouth of which we speak, is evidently a haven having a narrow entrance; but that yonder is a real ocean, and the land surrounding it may most rightly be called, in the fullest and truest sense, a continent. Now in this island of Atlantis there existed a confederation of kings, of great and marvelous power, which held sway over all the island, and over many other islands also and parts of the continent...

Now, just “how big” is this Island of Atlantis”?

“starting from a distant point in the Atlantic ocean... there lay an island which was larger than Libya and Asia together...”

I thrilled that they finally came around to mentioning this news that came out about eight years ago. Can’t sneak anything past them.

Atlantis, if it ever existed, would be in either the Sea of Azoz or Med. Sea of Azoz fits the discription best.
