BLEEDIN' Nor-a, is that what I think it is? Norway's skies lit up last week with this incredible unearthly looking spiral of light.
The phenomenon was dubbed 'Star-Gate' - as the world's top scientists and the military lined up to admit they were baffled.
And this is not the first mysterious sighting to wow UFOlogists in 2009.
In the same year that the government inexplicably axed the MoD department that investigates UFO threats and sightings - despite record levels of sightings in the UK - we have seen flashing orbs, hovering crafts and spooky lights in the sky.
Click on the images above to see our favourite snaps and videos of the year.

HUNDREDS of UFOs have been spotted in UK skies since January - putting 2009 on track to be a record year.
Brits have reported 231 mysterious hovering objects to the Ministry of Defence so far this year - against a previous record of 285 for the WHOLE of 2008.
In 2007 the count was 135, and there were just 97 in 2006.
Former MoD UFO investigator Nick Pope said yesterday: “This is sensational. We are now on target for a record year.
“I thought the number of UFOs reported last year was high, but we now know that they are being seen in increasing numbers.”
Mr Pope, who worked on the MoD’s UFO desk for three years, said the increase in reports is due to it being easier to snap “proof”.
He said: “Most people have a mobile which can take pictures or film. Before, people feared being ridiculed.” The MoD began releasing statistics on sightings of flying saucers dating back to 1998 in 2007 under Freedom of Information laws.

Most scientists think the blast was caused by a meteorite exploding several miles above the surface.
But Dr Labvin thinks quartz slabs with strange markings found at the site are remnants of an alien control panel, which fell to the ground after the UFO slammed into the giant rock.
He said: “We don’t have any technologies that can print such kind of drawings on crystals. We also found ferrum silicate that can not be produced anywhere, except in space.”
Brit UFO expert Nick Pope, who headed the Ministry of Defence’s UFO investigation team from 1991-1994, said: “The Tunguska explosion is one of the world’s greatest mysteries.
“Previous theories suggest it was caused by an impact from a comet, a mini black hole or a piece of anti-matter. This new theory is the strangest yet.
“We need an analysis of the quartz slabs to be able to prove this one way or another.”

Nothing like the real thing, baby!
Hope all is well in NM.
Signing off in the Free State.
Naw.
You’ve obviously been gassing the swamp again.
AZ AND NM are still here in the SW with usually pretty good winter sun most of the time.
Heading to bed myself.
Thx.
I guess we need to see some pictures then.
Here’s the story explaining it-

And photo of the vapor trail-

Someone posted the photos on one of these threads about the lights. Too many to go through, but I highly doubt that aliens would waste their time spinning around in the sky just to leave a vapor trail in the morning, and create a light show.
I see your arrival livened up the place, as expected.
Would have replied sooner, but we had retreated to a friend’s place about 2PM for baking, dinner, and showers...Global warming froze our water system, despite heat tapes and a portable heater in the tank/pump room.
Also, my broadband was down all day; it was working again when I tried it an hour ago. When I pinged you, I was using their spare computer, while the ladies baked 15 dozen more cookies (35 dozen done so far; one more day of baking to go) for the vets at the State Veterans Home in town. We guys took care of the all important job of Quality Control. ;-)
Didn’t see a single UFO, but there was a spectacular red sun pillar at sunset.
I notice that the temperature is climbing; it’s gone from -2.3F a couple of hours ago, when we got home, all the way up to +1.1!
You can see the beam eminating from the ground. This image was shone on the clouds like the Batman light.
Space aliens possess remarkable technology. They have a device which causes any camera in the area to take shaky out-of-focus pictures.

I know some girls like that too!
Thanks Applegate . . . Prayers for your water situation.
Watch that cookie quality control! LOL.
Irisshlass, JoeProBono is in charge of the photo dept.
If he can’t manage it, it can’t be done.
I remain suspicious about the Norway lights. The Russian thing just seemed and still seems to easy an answer, to me.
I think the PTB are tweaking things and still very much playing with the public for devilish reasons.
Thx
I think this photo of the fighter along right behind and to the side of the UFO is quite interesting.

Should thaw today or tomorrow, and ITMT, I'm able to temporarily provide us with running water by cross-connecting a hose from the tank room to one in the laundry room for an hour or so.
That allows us to get dishes done; take a shower; and, refill buckets, toilet tank, & miscl containers for other usage. Amazing what a pressure cooker & 20 qt stock pot full of water, sitting on a woodstove all day, can accomplish.
As to the spiral, the rocket bit is just too pat, as it was too absolutely perfect; even news reports had to 'certify' to the reader that the best photos were real, not Photoshopped.
I've seen what I've seen in the past, and while not discussed/reported, I don't need the government to tell me that I'm mistaken, hallucinating, nuts, misinterpreting, or whatever other BS they want to use to “explain” what they deny exists.
I suspect the whole world is going to have to increase dramatically in
“making do” skills.
Congrats you are doing OK.
