I saw the Doobies twice back in the late 70s, and got to meet them backstage at one of the concerts. Skunk Baxter and Cornelius Bumpus were cool; Michael McDonald seemed to be an egotistical jerk.

Which NYC shows did you see?

We saw Finian's Rainbow, In the Heights, and the off-Broadway show Fuerza Bruta (at some theater near Union Square.)

We also saw Cirque de Soleil's "Wintuk" show.

We go there every so often. We're theater geeks. :)

If Tom Johnston wasn't there, it wasn't the Doobies.

I didn’t go to any this year. But I’m excited that I just got my tickets to see Pat Metheny for the umpteenth time in April.

“Stampede” is still one of my favorite albums.

With me, it's the other way around. I haven't seen the Allmans yet.

Front row for Mule!! That would have to be a mind blower!

I'm a drummer, so I'd love to see Matt(Abts) play up close too.

You have excellent taste! This weekend, we’re going to see “In The Heights”... for the 3rd time.

I pass the “Fuerza Bruta” theater all the time. Is it any good?

I took my grandson, who is a video game fanatic, to see Video Games Live at Heinz Hall performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Mendelssohn Choir. Personally, I hate video games, but much of the music composed for those games is classical symphonic quality, and I really did not appreciate how good some of it is until this show.

My grandson has been to the symphony before, but this time, he really enjoyed it because he could identify with it.

It was a good night out for me and my grandson.

Saw "A Steady Rain" with Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig. Big disappointment. Will be seeing "Race" (the new David Mamet play) with James Spader, DA Grier, and John Boy Walton. My GF wants to see the off-BW version of Avenue Q, so I will oblige her.

The last great show, Broadway or Off-Broadway, that I saw was the last production of Gypsy with Patti Lupone.

It's very interesting and edgy. I liked it. I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to musical theater, but this one was a lot of fun.

Are you in Manhattan? If so, I'll have to contact you prior to our next visit there. I love that place. :)

Yes, “Gypsy” with Patti LuPone was amazing, and so was David Hyde Pierce in “Curtains.”

I saw them a few yers ago on New Years eve in N.Y.
Awesome jam band. Warren Haynes is one of the best guitarists alive, and Matt Abst is one hell of a drummer.
