With over 6,155 replies here at FR and maybe another couple of thousand when from another name that I used I’m surprised with the fact not once as far as I can remember have I ever been told by a mod to lighten up.

1998, was a great year for Free Republic. Agree, my favorites are pretty much all from the class of '98 (minus the arseholes that got banned, of course.)
Kristinn's a perennial favorite, as is Jeff Head, Doug from Upland and countless others that come to mind ...
A 'shout out' to all those who went to Sea Brook Island in the summer of 2001, that was a great time. So many good folks there.
In closing a special prayer for those who passed on that I still miss: Mr. Confettiman, Tony Snow, CommonTator and Chief Negotiator ... may our Lord & Savior bless and keep you always.

You know what now that I had to think a minute I do remember around election time when McCain had just offered Sarah Palin the VP slot that I found an image of a real rhino but with McCains face, back then there was a large amount of McCain supporters here, and I had quite a few pointed responses about that image, course its common news now.

If you're the spectator, yes. If you're the donny getting it in the brook . . . no, better not go there . . . in my line of work I can't afford to be waylaid by lame puns and double entendres . . . ;)
