Buttermilk was a beautiful cat, polly. I had a white cat but it was a short hair. Was she old when she died?

When Life Is Too Big
O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 1 Kings 3:7
As a young man, Jimmy Carter was a junior officer in the US Navy. He was deeply impacted by Admiral Hyman Rickover, the mastermind of the US nuclear submarine fleet.
Shortly after Carters inauguration as President, he invited Rickover to the White House for lunch, where the admiral presented Carter with a plaque that read, O, God, Thy sea is so great, and my boat is so small. That prayer is a useful perspective on the size and complexity of life and our inability to manage it on our own.
Solomon too knew that life could be overwhelming. When he succeeded his father, David, as king of Israel, he confessed his weakness to God, saying, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in (1 Kings 3:7). As a result, he asked for the wisdom to lead in a way that would please God and help others (v.9).
Is life feeling too big for you? There may not be easy answers to the challenges you are facing, but God promises that, if you ask for wisdom, He will grant it (James 1:5). You dont have to face the overwhelming challenges of life alone.
Each day we learn from yesterday
Of Gods great love and care;
And every burden we must face
Hell surely help us bear. D. De Haan
Recognizing our own smallness can cause us to embrace Gods greatness.

Aqua, if you will be checking PBS, they have been presenting the complete Rockettes Christmas show. I have 2 PBS stations here and one night it was on and there was no sound and I was so angry!
And last night, I didn’t check until late and there was 30 minutes left, but I did get to see the beautiful Nativity Scene and it was glorious! I plan to keep looking and get to see the whole show. I had a friend who attended the live show a couple of years ago in Atlanta.

And yours is very pretty! I had to leave a minute. I took some trash outside to the trash bin and I felt this lovely warm breeze. It was about 48, but we’ve been warned that this will be a very, very windy day and if you had anything outside to blow away, better get it in...LOL! We will make it to 55, but they warned this is just for today.

JC, here, if the winds will be high, the weather forcaster has called it a “Small Dog Warning” day. (IOW, if you have a small dog, you’d better have it on a heavy chain, or it will blow away!) LOL!

Maybe thats what we’re having. I have a pretty little wall Christmas tree out there on my brick wall (hubby made it years ago) and it is quite pretty and I am wondering if I should take it in.
