Hey ALL! I’ve befriended a stray cat today, and it just happens to be Caturday.
We live in the country with neighbors not too far away on both sides. Not sure if this stray is one of theirs.
We have 2 dobermans, so we don’t see cats around here, or squirrels.
But 2 days ago I saw paw prints in the snow, and then when I let the dogs out the back that day, our youngest dog was face to face with a yellow kitty. By some miracle they did not fight, and my dog listened to me and didn’t follow the cat.
My husband says he saw the cat on the front porch late last night.
I have taken pity on the little kitty and starting today I am feeding it.
I made bacon and eggs for kitty this morning and put it on the porch. By afternoon, I could tell he or she had eaten some, and drank some of the milk I put out.
I’ve reheated the 2 menu items a few times, hoping kitty will come back for another meal today.
She or he seemed in good health, not thin, when I briefly saw it 2 days ago. It was very brave when faced with a 100 pound doberman, and his 120 pound pal right behind him.
A few days ago when I saw the prints, I also found a few mice dead (chewed by a cat) by the garage door. So this is a good mouser kitty. Something I’d welcome around here.
That’s my Caturday story!

What a great story for a Caturday and at Christmas time.
We live in the country also ... we see many strays ... both dogs and cats.
It breaks my heart that someone would dump their pets.
There is no way, we can adopt every stray.
Thank you for adopting this little guy.

Kittens with hats are a rarity here too. Now ... as for kittens with mittens ..... not quite so rare. :)

Your kitty looks like Mr Mittens looks every morning.
(Except ... no snow)
He likes being outside but
he comes to the back door every morning and asks to come in. :)
He knows he will get a treat for breakfast.

We must also remember the Hospital Corpsmen in our prayers. They see so much in preforming their duties. I pray that they know they are appreciated by us at home.
