Thank you very much for the kind words and thoughts. My wife is very distraught over her mother’s death - we’re trying to keep Christmas as close to normal as possible.

. Today I plan to start with peanut butter fudge and deviled eggs. It will begin after I get the house in order!

Sounds like me! I just finished two batches of brownie. I am making some persimmon bars, along with Peanut Butter cookies...now I hadn't even thought of deviled eggs! Think I will add those to my list! Anything else I might need? lol

Good morning, Amy. I couldn’t remember if I was supposed to post this or if you were going to. I had a few spare minutes, so went ahead and posted the WFW opening. Hope that was okay.

My Christmas guests are arriving around noon today and I still have a bunch of things on my list to take care of, so I won’t be around much, if at all.

A Puppy's Christmas - A Poem

It's the day before Christmas
And all through the house
The puppies are squeaking
An old rubber mouse.

The wreath which had merrily
Hung on the door
Is scattered in pieces
All over the floor.

The stockings that hung
In a neat little row
Now boast a hole in
Each one of the toes.

The tree was subjected
To bright-eyed whims,
And now, although splendid,
It's missing some limbs.

I catch them and hold them.
"Be good", I insist.
They lick me, then run off
To see what they've missed.

And now as I watch them
The thought comes to me,
That their's is the spirit
That Christmas should be.

Should children and puppies
Yet show us the way,
And teach us the joy
That should come with this day?

Could they bring the message
That's written above,
And tell us that, most of all
Christmas is love.

My Christmas guests are arriving soon so I must sign out until after Christmas. I am wishing each of you Peace and Joy and all God's Blessings this Christmas.

Well, Polly, tomorrow I will fix the cold shrimp with cocktail sauce, make ham biscuits. And a million other things. We have a Christmas Eve get together and everyone comes here. Most everything will be eaten with our fingers!
2 kinds of midget pickles, 2 kinds of olives, party mix, chips and dip, sausage balls.....I’m tired just thinking...LOL! And I guess its the same with you, huh???

It started snowing last night.

And by this morning, we had 6" of snow on the high dessert.
