The Clydesdales in the snow are so beautiful! That’s one of the prettiest snow scenes ever.

Good Morning Jaycee
Snow may miss us or hit us, forecast is not certain yet. Like you, I will now not drive in snow either. I had seen a fair share of drivers who shouldn't either, that sure helped in the decision to skip driving. ;) Enjoy your snowy weekend! :)

Post them often - can’t get enough of them.

I stood next to them at Sea World/San Diego, and was gobsmacked by the shear size, not to mention their beauty.

I hear they can run about $20,000/each to buy.

Jehovah-Jireh
Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. —Matthew 6:8

In my early years as a pastor, I served in small churches where finances were often tight. Sometimes our family finances felt the weight of that pressure. On one occasion, we were down to the last of our food and payday was still several days away. While my wife and I fretted about how we would feed our kids in the next few days, our doorbell rang. When we opened the door, we discovered two bags of groceries. We had not told anyone of our plight, yet our provider God had led someone to meet that need.

This reminds me of the Old Testament account of Abraham when he was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac. At just the right moment, God provided a ram instead. Abraham called this place Jehovah-Jireh, “The-Lord-Will-Provide” (Gen. 22:14). He is the One who still cares deeply for His children.

Jesus said, “Your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him” (Matt. 6:8). He is constantly caring for and seeking the best for us—a reminder that in times of hardship, need, and fear, we have Someone who cares. Peter wrote that we can cast all our cares upon Jesus, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). We can turn to Him in our time of need.

I know not by what methods rare
The Lord provides for me;
I only know that all my needs
He meets so graciously. —Adams

What God promises, God will provide.

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Yes, Lori - I think I caught ‘my cold’ from the man that sniffled and coughed and sneezed for two hours, in the two hour shuttle drive to Phoenix. (And not even an open window!)

Oh no! That happened to me on a flight to Florida for a cruise. Sat next to a woman who coughed throughout the entire flight. Sure enough, a couple days later I was sick as a dog - ruined the last couple days of the cruise. I have almost developed a phobia about being in enclosed places with people. Even if they look healthy, you never know.

I hope you get well soon. It's awful being sick during the holidays.

I know what you mean - and being enclosed in an aluminum tube at 30,000 feet, with 400 people all breathing the same air makes me wonder about flying.

Yes, and I felt just awful about having to fly home sick. I knew that every time I coughed everyone sitting around me cringed. I could feel them glaring daggers at me. I probably infected several people, but I had to get home, I had no choice. :-(

I used to love to fly, but not so much anymore, especially during flu season.

Yum, looks delicious! I may have some of that after while. I did run to the store and pick up extra bread and milk. My son called and warned me. Of course, I already knew of the storm but appreciate him calling. I have plenty of food. I told him I have everything to make spaghetti and may do that over the weekend.

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

What a cute little doxie gift! All ready to be ‘opened’ on Christmas morning!

On the local news, they are reporting that 821 chichuahuas have been placed in shelters in Phoenix in the past two months! Hard to believe, isn’t it?
