 THE TIGER (after William Blake)

Tiger Tiger burning bright
a dozen women in your sight
what immoral hand you play
that haunts you in the light of day

In what distant island shore
can you hide a rotten core
on what green your spirit fly
when you drove it with a lie

On what shoulder would thou lay
by whose warm hearth would thou stay
not your child, wife, or kin
since you've taken up with skin

When the star threw down his club
and watered heaven with a snub
did He smile His work to see?
did He who made the Lamb make thee?

Tiger Tiger burning bright
as your sponsors take to flight
what immoral hand and eye
caused your soul, and mine, to cry.

Bless your heart. Are you all planning on eating Christmas dinner at your house or not? Do you plan to just not do too much decorating? I had to slow down for several days, Meg, as I was truly having a very painful time. One night I even thought of going to the E.R. but was afraid they might try to put me in the hospital.

I only went to the luncheon yesterday because I took enough medicine to kill the pain so I could go! Don’t like living like this.

Jaycee..I will do what I can..I invited my daughter to come so they could have room to eat ..This house is in turmoil with packing. I will clear a space and , buy a smoked turkey and not worry about what I cannot do..I am so sad you are having so much pain..

What a shame you could not locate a "Merry Christmas" greeting from Kohl's. I am so glad you wrote them, even though the form letter you received are probably sent out to any product not in stock. I truly wonder if they ever had them in stock. Surely they had to have a few (maybe)!!

Those Kohl's stores were founded by the Kohl's family and a little about them.....Do you know the Senator Herb Kohl? He serves in the United States Senate. His family founded that company and it is my understanding that they sold it in the 70's, even though I'm not positive about that.

Don't know if they're stockholders or board members now or not. Anyway, he is Jewish, Democrat, 75 years old, never married, and is pro-everything that 'most of us' here on Free Republic are against.

He has a very dry and sour personality (the very few times I've seen him speak in the Senate.) Thought you may find this interesting. I am positive that he was with the rest of the Democrats in voting for this Health Care Bill.

Let me know if they like it. Always a favorite of mine, especially covered with butter, cheese and a healthy drollop of my homemade chili

Brother Fish Hawk

You are so true of eye, and see the shape of a soul that walked in the dark of life and love. The Tiger may come out into the light of day perhaps, but his walk in darkness has hurt so many. It is not good to honor one who honors not even themselves.

Good morning all!

John..always appreciate your poetry/sharing. I had never heard of fried bread either.. sounds good. I am so SO lazy however to make things like that. At first I thought it was French Toast

Yorkie.. love your pix of your yard & the story of the statuette.. It is lovely.

Many of you have back pain/problems..Jaycee & Meg I note I am so sorry & commiserate.. It is bad enough just to have to exist with it but when one must do impt things, entertain guests in your home etc, puts extra pressure... the funny story of falling off sled & fixing sciatica problems! Ha.. love it. God the Chirpractor on the hill!

Rus, that sounded like a dreadful experience. I had planned on going to Dunkirk but the weather forcasts seemed to yell.. NO.. Not running out of gas on cold nights & having a few blankets to wrap in are of course very helpful for comfort.

Billie, appreciate the Susan B music. I would like that CD. She is a delight

Pollywog, Buttermilk is beautiful. I am sorry you lost her. I miss my Cali (2 years now).. she was top cat for so many years & very close to me. She was alpha over the dogs also. Molly has slipped into the roll of computer cat/sleep on me cat. Have had her for 7 years but she always was kept at a distance by Cali.

Hope all have a great Lord's day

I did not know all this. Now I have several more reasons never to do business with that store! Thanks Jaycee.

Excellent! You’ve summed him up well. What a pathetic excuse for a husband and father he has turned out to be.
