Sources tell TMZ the Florida Highway Patrol is now focusing on obtaining a search warrant -- allowing them to seize medical records from the hospital that treated Tiger Woods -- in an attempt to determine if the wounds Woods sustained are consistent with a car accident or domestic violence
We're told authorities believe they can show probable cause a crime was committed, a necessary step in obtaining a warrant.
One big piece of evidence showing probable cause ... sources tell us Tiger's wife, Elin Nordegren told FHP troopers she went looking for Tiger in a golf cart, came upon the accident and then used a golf club to break the window to gain entry. That's a very different story from what she first told Windemere cops shortly after the accident -- she never mentioned a golf cart. Nordegren told Windemere police she had walked out of her house, saw the crash, went back inside to get a golf club and returned to the vehicle.

I believe Tiger has already canceled (twice) a news conference about this latest story.
A news conference or a police interview? I had heard about the interviews being canceled and then rescheduled and then canceled again.
I am not buying a TMZ story until it is at least corroborated by the Weekly World News.
Would have waited this long if his wife was the one in the crash?
About the only real positive to come out of this for Tiger is that he apparently fled rather than hit his wife.
They trade in celebrity gossip/crime stories, so there's a substantial element of cheese and salaciousness in their reporting. OTOH, they broke the MJ death about an hour before everyone else. They had the Travolta extortion plot days before anyone else. They had the Prejean sex tape right. In short, they seem to be a whole lot more accurate than CBSABCNBCMSNBC.
I personally enjoy the site because they show celebrities in their natural habitat, warts and all - very much unlike the traditional broadcast networks and cable outlets who also produce movies and broadcast sporting events who tend to gloss over the most incriminating or damaging stories of their own cash cows.
Over 186,000 people have already voted “yes” on their question “Is Tiger hiding something?”.
BTW does anyone else notice Rachel Uchitel’s last name could be pronounced something like “Who’d she tell”? Try saying it!
Doesn’t he know that this violence is just going to keep happening over and over again unless she gets help?
Filing a police report is the first step.
Is there a shelter he can go to?

They don’t want to kiss of the endorsement dough.
I’m still trying to figure out why she’d bust out the back window of the Escalade if Woods ran over a fire hydrant. I doubt he flipped all the way into the back.
RULE ONE: NEVER EVER speak to the cops
RULE 2 - 10: EVER EVER break rule number ONE
If no one had spoken to the cops here no one would have a problem now - there is NEVER a good reason to speak with the cops - they are not EVER there to help anyone but themselves
.
He's on 'pain meds'.....this will be interesting....
Can't agree more, Tiger is under no obligation to do so just like anyone else.
This seems like a good time to link to the following 2 videos of a presentation on the subject. If you have never watched them, please take the time!
The first lecture is from a lawyer and the second is from a cop. It will take you about 45 minutes to get through both but IMO, its worth it.
How about --- I believe you and will follow your advice. There, I saved 45 minutes of being lectured to.
I do not think they were scratches on Tigers face.
In golf they are called divits.
Great videos. Thanks for posting.
I’ll watch those later - thanks.
At least it sounds like their starting to treat this case as they would in any other possible DV situation, finally.
And that's a good example of why no one should ever talk to the police... They're always looking for someone to arrest in order to provide a rationale for them being there... LOL...
And if "there" happens to be where you are -- then the "do not talk to the police" is the best advice you can ever get... :-)
Talking to the Police by Professor James Duane
Professor James Duanes now famous 5th Amendment lecture - popularly known as Dont talk to the police! - has amassed a considerable internet following. The lecture, given as part of Regent Law Schools spring preview weekend.
I am not buying a TMZ story until it is at least corroborated by the Weekly World News.
We need it confirmed by at least three more tabloids, so we can get some more juicy gossip out of it... LOL...
Doesnt he know that this violence is just going to keep happening over and over again unless she gets help?
What?! Him running into fire hydrants and trees? If this is happening over and over again like an obsession, you're right, he needs help... LOL...
RULE ONE: NEVER EVER speak to the cops
RULE 2 - 10: EVER EVER break rule number ONE
Bears repeating over and over again! :-) And if someone can't remember it, write it down and put it in your pocket...
If no one had spoken to the cops here no one would have a problem now - there is NEVER a good reason to speak with the cops - they are not EVER there to help anyone but themselves
Let me say that one again, please.... it bears repeating over and over again on every thread that comes up with Tiger Woods and this episode... :-)
If no one had spoken to the cops here no one would have a problem now - there is NEVER a good reason to speak with the cops - they are not EVER there to help anyone but themselves
Keep that in mind folks... this is the "take away" information from this whole episode.... :-)
