The French fashion world has dealt a new blow to Nicolas Sarkozys desire to upstage President Obama: Elle magazine, the Parisiennes style bible, has proclaimed that Michelle Obama is more chic than Carla Bruni.
The magazines annual best-dressed list, unveiled yesterday, awarded first place in the category of political chic to Americas First Lady, and second to Frances Première Dame. It is the second year in a row that Ms Bruni, 42, has come second on the list; last year Elle put her behind Asma Assad, the British-born wife of the Syrian President.

Bottom photo: the little one looks darling. The older one, IMHO, has her mom’s ‘tude. And MOO-Shell’s sweater is shorter in the back than in the front. ?????

Got Jello? Check out the bottom photo... MOO-Shell is clearly wearing some sort of foundation garment meant to hold her in. Ain't workin'.

Spanx, Inc. is a U.S. company which mainly manufactures footless pantyhose and other undergarments for women, particularly “body shaping” undergarments intended to give the wearer a slim and shapely appearance. The company’s products are marketed to fit contemporary female lifestyles and fashion trends. They have been endorsed by celebrities, like Oprah Winfrey and Miranda Lambert

As a female I know Spanx... absolutely hate the name. Harpo’s endorsement seals it.

I’m reminded of a line from Lewis Black...”how many drugs over what period of time must be consumed for someone to believe that?”

I have been in Neiman Marcus with friends and they just rave about purchasing them. That is why I knew about them.
They are more dishonest than wearing tight blue jeans. But, hey, whatever girls feel they need to gain a beauty advantage.
Of course, MO and her taste in clothing are never going to become mainstream.
Her choices including those boob high, tool belts are just unattractive. The tool belt she is wearing, for accepting the Christmas Tree, looks to jut out a couple of inches.
Honestly, I don’t how she can possible think that is attractive or enhance her looks.
Then again, maybe her taste is all in her mouth.

Does she and Santa Claus shop at the same belt store? Notice that on this occasion she didn't wear the belt over the sweater. But she just couldn't help herself and, instead, made little belts of the blouse material to go over the sweater just above the elbow. As though those tight, tight bunched up sleeves are in need of support lest they fall back to her wrists!

Sometimes I seriously wonder if Oprah is dressing her. She looked very nice back in the beginning of the presidential campaign, back when she dressed herself and was still allowed to speak for herself.

What happened there?
Moo-Shell doesn’t have to be gorgeous. It would be enough if she ...
1) lost weight
2) would not make faces (after looking up the word “poise”)
3) got a fashion consultant
She is nice looking when made up. But I doubt she has the humility and class to admit she should fix any of the above.

Oprah doesn't dress this weird. You mean, Oprah is dressing her as a way of keeping Michelle from taking attention away from Oprah as the Most Influential (Biggest) Black Lady in America?

Yeah, kind of like you said.... Oprah’s getting the designers to make these horrid outfits for Michelle — whose husband Oprah considers, “...the most intelligent man I’ve ever met.”
To: aruanan
p.s. Seriously, waaaay back in Lincoln land, back in Illinois when the campaign was just beginning she wore classy classic items, although I admit I didn't see her that often, not following BHO's campaign, but she NEVER looked like Mrs. Bozo The Clown Wears A Belt.
Not EVER.
