What's wrong with America?
Last time I posed this question to the other members of this forum, I got response like "go finish your acquavit elsewhere" and such things.
Now, that was pretty rude and not particularly nice, was it?:)
Is it my fault that I drive a Volvo V70 and an average American drives a ridiculous part of the Ford F-series?
Is it my fault that we Swedes can build superior subs (not talkin' fast food here) and our competitors can not?
Most states of the US hasn't let in as many Muslim settlers as Sweden has, I'll give you that, but on the other hand, what ability is there in America of today to lead the world in terms of industrial, technologhical and scientific achivement?
Like said, we swedes are 9 million and we have three successful car industries (Volvo, SAAB and Koenigsegg).
Apart from that, Scandinavia + Finland could probably defeat Russia in an all-out conventional military confrontation.
We've done it before.
In fact, Finland has. On its own.
My home city, Gothenburg, could produce well over 500 tanks a day after slight moderations of the city's major industrial plants. If we'd win the war in the skies using our JAS Gripens, St. Petersburg as well as Moscow wouldn't stand much of a chance.
By the way, we participate in the WOT too..
I, for one, would never say such a thing.
I don't even know what acquavit is.
Yeah, but we have more lawyers, hell you can’t walk a street without tripping over one!
A VERY strong liquer
How did you come by your Volvo then? The Wuss Fairy?
Acquavit, a flavored spirit that is produced in Scandinavia and typically contains 40% alcohol by volume. Like Vodka. Usually has caraway flavor.
I prefer Tennessee Whiskey. Or a nice single malt Scotch Whisky.
Ummm, America does.
You are 9 million pasty white guys...
as we are 300 Million with more races you can shake a stick at.. (don’t brag about the MOOSLIMS or we’ll give you ours). We have Political BOSSES (elected officials just don’t quite work, anymore)that make your Socialist LEaders look like RIGHTWINGERS.
Right now the USA SUCKS, why.. our leaders are too busy trying to make us look like WESTERN EUROPE.
and the AMERICAN PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE IT!!
Ah. That explains why I didn't know what it was. Being the righteous Christian man that I am, I have no experience with these things.
Lucky for me there are worldly people out there who live life on the wild side to educate me on such things.
Thanks for the assist.
Ha haaaa!!!
Just kidding.
I read your tagline and thought I'd get in a little good-natured ribbing.
Yeah? Who do you think invented The Snuggie?
It wasn't Bjorn Borg, I'll tell you that.
Actually, I don't know who invented The Snuggie. I just assume it was an American.
Don’t forget, Ford has OWNED Volvo (car division) since 1999. They’ve been trying to dump the company this year, don’t know if they’ve found a buyer yet...
What was that Cletus?
I don't know, but I think it scratched the bumper of my new F-150.
Perhaps I didn't spell it properly or that word just isn't especially common where you live.
Anyhow, aqua vitae (”water of life”) is an archaic word for a concentrated aqueous solution of ethanol.
Whenever we Vikings wish to have a good time, we consume grains and potatoes by the dozen (after having turned it all into mashing and then distilled it for some hundred times).
This behavior is a very important key to understanding Scandinavian ways of life.
If you still don't get it, try this:
I believe that Ford owns, or did own, a substantial part of Volvo. That is why many parts are interchangeable with Fords.
Ok, I’ll take the hook, what are the taxes? Are they any cheaper than Obamaville?
I’ve been to Sweden.. Didn’t like it.. Too much creamed fish and mean looking blondes. And beside, Norway is more Beautiful inside and out. ;)
“they’re still tough and mean”
- Yes, but what does that help when you’re drunk all day and don’t wish to fight for your own country?
Finland made Stalin look a fool and if you deny this, you deny World history.
Uh....You might want to run that question by an old-timer in Hiroshima.
