I had an interesting discussion with my wife the other night. We were both curiouis as to why radio talk show people such as Limbaugh, Levin, Hannity, do not promote or talk about Glenn Beck.
I went to their various web sites and checked out what they recommend to read. It was interesting.
Limbaugh - no Beck books.
Levin - no Beck books.
Hannity - no Beck books.
Coulter - no Beck books.
Ingraham - one Beck book.
My wife and I came to the conclusion that the reason he is being shunned by the powers that be is due to his aligning himself with O'Reilly. I also think that maybe they are cautious. Is Beck really a conservative or is he just doing what he is doing to make a buck and a name.
I know Limbaugh talked with him once on Beck's program - via phone - and Levin lambasted him for his stance on McCain. Other than that, they do not seem to want to associate with him.
I would be curious as to what other Freeper's think.
I'm just saying, in the same way that people assume from only getting half or a portion of a story on Glenn and extrapolate, render an opinion without the full, complete context, Rush has had this happen over the years, too many times to recall. Don't let yourself be colored by something until and unless you get the whole story next time. :)
Known it for years, why I’m LMAO!
Well, you were the one who claimed you couldn't find the error that was being discussed. I simply pointed out what the error was. I don't know why you were offended by that, but that's your problem, not mine.
I don’t believe there is any serious animosity between the parties. Hannity (as well as O’Reilly) may be seeing Beck in their reaerviews, but I’m sure Rush doesn’t care. Rush likely looks at Beck the way Wayne Gretzky looks at the latest NHL phenom.
And Mark Levin? He’s got his own thing going. He is maybe the most passionate, genuine man in radio. If he criticizes Beck it’s for good reason, and not because of any fear of “competition”. Mark is one-of-a-kind.
Other than that, I agree with your speculation that there is caution. Beck may be too new as a national star; he rose very quickly and stars can fade as quickly as they rose. It’s smart to be careful about what wagon you hitch your own star to.
However, I think he is going insane.
I'm growing tired of his paranoia and his self-centeredness. I'm to the point that I change the station now everytime he reminds us how he predicted something, and that "everyone thought he was crazy."
I feel sorry for Stu and Pat, who have to say "...yes, Glenn. We remember you said that. You are brilliant."...in order to keep their jobs.
But hey, they all manage to make fun or insult one another, Rush has taken his hits as well.

The apostrophe is possessive
Its = Possessive ... with no apostrophe
This is a funny thread. Talk radio, punctuation and Peter Jennings three-fer.
Roger Ailes runs Fox News.
I think that you are projecting. Beck is a Mormon Mitt Romney supporter. Which probably explains the hostility he was expressing against Sarah Palin today on the radio.
er , are you serious? I always thought Beck like Palin. I remember Beck/Oreily interview where he praised Romney as a good CEO who can get deals done, but he don’t think Romney is the type of candidate we need. We need a reformer, someone like Palin who will go in and cut cut cut
Beck was a Romney supporter in last year’s election. Beck was criticizing Palin on the radio today.
Who knows what he will do in the future?
And Beck could have Hannity’s TV spot far as I'm concerned. Without Colmes to keep him honest he's nothing more than a repeater. Sometimes he doesn't get his daily feed from the Washington party hacks and he's got nothing to talk about but flying saucers.
Ping to RB for the BTV group.
Example: About two\three weeks ago Levin started to talk about the mortgage banking crisis and how it went back to CRA under carter. He stated that he was the first to connect these dots and that was in his book "Liberty and Tyranny..." which came out in March 2009. I have heard this same theory last fall when the fun really got going.
A few years ago he also said that he would never ever go nationwide. He did not want to do it.
These kind of things make me not trust his claims.
Absolutely true with Hannity. Listen to him once and you have heard his entire show for the last several years.
Criticism is not dis-like. He was objecting to some things she has done (like the Runner’s World cover).
I like Glenn Beck. Listen to him every single day. He has done a lot of good. However, this alligning himself with O’
Reilly will only serve to increase the bloviator’s ratings and I think Glenn should rethink this move. He is treading on thin ice here. I hope he has thought it through because this just may cost him a lot of his loyal audience who is “America.”
