I've been cooped up since last Tuesday, finally got out today. The weather is gray and dark, rain coming later from hurricane Ida. She is giving Ray Nagin ulcers now!
The grackle girls saw me coming way down the beach, I had 15 or 20 on and around the car in a short time. I don't know if they recognize the car, or recognize me. I try not to attract them inside, they aren't housebroke, LOL!
The gull with spots is a young Ring billed gull, the gray bird is a Laughing gull. It's common for them to flock together.
I thought Mexican food was the natural diet of grackles. They’re the curse of the San Antonio Riverwalk!
Gorgeous. Thanks. Your pictures display these birds in greater detail than if I were there in real life.
I’ve never had a bird land on me.
Almost anything can be tamed to some degree. My ex mother in law was a rare exception!
I'm glad I didn't have a sip of iced tea in my mouth when I read that. Monitors aren't free you know. :D
Glad you got out to see your friends!
Great shots and, as always, thanks for sharing, Swamp.
I have wrestled gators, but wouldn’t have tackled that old lady for a million bucks! A gator can be made to see reason!
Beautiful colors and pictures. Thanks.
Imagine if someone in a car similar to yours drove along the beach. When 20 grackles swarmed him, he’d think he was in a Hitchcock movie.........LOL!
My favorite bird is a sea gull. Your pics always make my day better. Thank you so much, Pandy
Thanks!
Thanks for the mini vacation! Love your pictures and am very fond of birds.
Many thanks for sharing your wonderful photos!
You’re right, it is a mini vacation to look at these beautiful pictures of birds and the beach!
Thanks SWAMPSNIPER for the suffering you endure just to make the rest of us feel good. LOL!
Awesome.
