Will check in later. I don’t usually watch network TV until its out in DVD. Making an exception—hoping for some satire and laughs.

the series that is so evocative of Obama's "hope and change". Just starting a discussion thread as this serial opens.
Not even interested, you've been watching too much news dude................THIS IS A SCIENCE FICTION STORY WHICH WAS WRITTEN LONG AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, here it comes.
I don't know if I will make it through the entire opening night...but I hope this is a scathing attack on Obama's hope and change!
But is it really an allegory?

"but it's also a barbed commentary on Obamamania that will infuriate the President's supporters and delight his detractors, Miami Herald TV critic Glenn Garvin asserted in a review distributed by the McClatchy/Tribune news service and run in Tuesday's Chicago Tribune, among other papers."

I did hear one of the teenagers use the term universal health care that the female lead alien was promising. Interesting.

Also the thing about the danger of admiration turning to adoration.

V has become a crash course on how insidious totalitarianism, especially in its fascist guise, can really be. It points out the elements of fascism. Its a good reminder and educational tool.
And similarities to the Obama Junta are merely coincidental.
The Obama administration will ignore the series, unless discussion comparing his CZARs and CZARINAS to the V aliens developes legs.
Then V will be labeled rascist.
