Will check in later. I don’t usually watch network TV until its out in DVD. Making an exception—hoping for some satire and laughs.

Not even interested, you've been watching too much news dude................THIS IS A SCIENCE FICTION STORY WHICH WAS WRITTEN LONG AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To: SonOfDarkSkies
Well, here it comes.
I don't know if I will make it through the entire opening night...but I hope this is a scathing attack on Obama's hope and change!
But is it really an allegory?

"but it's also a barbed commentary on Obamamania that will infuriate the President's supporters and delight his detractors, Miami Herald TV critic Glenn Garvin asserted in a review distributed by the McClatchy/Tribune news service and run in Tuesday's Chicago Tribune, among other papers."

For what it is worth I think the original series was a reworking of Sinclair Lewis’ “It Can’t Happen Here” which was a novel about fascism coming to America. Now I’m not a big fan of Lewis’ but I think it is entirely possible that just because a story of fascism taking root in America was written long ago does not necessarily mean that it can’t speak to our time when just such a thing is happening . . . otherwise we might as well toss the Huxley and Orwell books. Just my humble opinion though :)

Just my humble opinion, of course...but I request a butt-naked interview with the cute alien female with the short haircut.
Just to make contact, of course!
