Never looked at their “ass-ets”. Dont’ go that way. But who knows what they do at night?

Being a Yankee fan is like being a Scientologist. It’s a CULT! You need to be DEPROGRAMMED! And now! Before it’s too late! I fear for you!

Yeah, it is amazing how fast this team’s performance at the plate can decline. But you know, I’ not too surprised. There were stretches during the season where they could not getting anything going offensively. I’m happy with two consecutive pennants (I would not have guessed they would make this far at the beginning of the season), but I too wish they would have put up a better fight against the Yankees.

Mets fans are sincere. They’ve suffered the bad times and cherished the good times. I was in the old Yankee Stadium more years ago than I’d like to tell you (well, not that many) and there was no one there.

This is what I get for rooting for the underdog (but being a Red Sox fan I can’t root for the Yankees—although NY-born Red Sox fan Jeffrey Lyons—movie
reviewer—said on Curtis Sliwa’s show that he always pulls for the AL team, even if it is the Yankees. Well, Jeffrey,
to use the expression made popular by 2 other film critics:
THUMBS DOWN.

The thing the Phillies do best, break a teams spirit, they haven't done against the Yanks.

I will give them that they don't have world class pitching, I hope they work on that. They'll be here next year if they do

It's not over yet but it will be tough. It's one thing to lose when you've done your best, it's another when you fail to execute. If the Phils play like they can, it will go seven, then it will be a test of the will to win.

It’s all part of the Philly’s plan to lull the Stankees into complacency.

I believe that is the plan (or at least we’ll say it is when the Phils comeback)!
HANG TOUGH FIGHTIN PHILS!

If the Yankees go on and win the Series, Johnny Damon deserves the MVP for that one at bat alone in the 9th.

LOL - I’m not a Philly’s fan (Giants - yeah, I know, they suck). I am, however, a Stankees hater.

I know I’m a day late, but can ANYONE explain where Third Baseman Feliz was when Damon stole second (and then third)????? The replays showed Feliz wasn’t anywhere in the field of vision, not within 60 feet of the bag.....was he in the bathroom?, is this the baseball equivalent of pulling your goalie? What was going on, and ......WHY???

Buck and McCarver didn’t seem to think it was odd and never made an attempt to explain it....all very strange

Buck and McCarver can’t get TOO vocal know about a play that benefits the Yankees....

........It shall forever go down as one of the greastest World Series Mystery Meat Moments.

Seriously tho...Phillies were shifted antcipating a Teixeira hit...Feliz had to double step or whatever the baseball term is for extra step throw to 2nd base....which left 3rd wide open for Damon to steal.
