In honor of Halloween, I have assembled two lists. One holds a ranking of the ten best slashers of all time. While these characters were awesome, that does not necessarily mean that any of their respective movies were any good. So my other list looks solely at the movies, and which come in tops. The list of the best slashers will be published tomorrow (Saturday) on hometownstation.com. Today though, we'll take a stab (please pardon the pun I know it's bad) at identifying the ten best horrors movies...ever.

Yes: the true ‘freaks’ in the film are the two examples of male and female standards: the beautuful woman and the masculine, strong man.

Ed and Lorraine Warren wrote a book called “The Demonologist”
based on experiences they had while investigating possession/poltergeist type cases.
The basic thesis being you have to do something to invite them in - but what you do can in alot of cases be something most people woud think was almost totally innocent.
Another part of it that was super creepy was the number of times it’s regular objects - some of the creepiest being plain old childrens dolls and stuffed animals...

I play ‘Blair Witch’ with my dogs and a flashlight when we go for our walk in the dark before bedtime. (We’re on our land, not out in the road, so don’t worry!)
They totally freak when I put that flashlight under my chin and start chanting their names, LOL!
It’s not really a horror movie, but “The Ghost and the Darkness” starring Mike Douglas and Val Kilmer is a great tension-filled flick.
My monsignor knew the priest in that case.
Zoykes! I might need to watch that one during the day, LOL!

Your poor dogs! And the flashlight is my favorite scene. I'm sure the dogs are just riveted! I have the movie, maybe I'll watch it tonight. LOL!

I’m a big Asian horror movie fan, for over a decade they’ve been putting out some fantastic horror movies. Anyone who enjoys the genre should check out horror coming out of Japan, Korea and Thailand.
