In honor of Halloween, I have assembled two lists. One holds a ranking of the ten best slashers of all time. While these characters were awesome, that does not necessarily mean that any of their respective movies were any good. So my other list looks solely at the movies, and which come in tops. The list of the best slashers will be published tomorrow (Saturday) on hometownstation.com. Today though, we'll take a stab (please pardon the pun I know it's bad) at identifying the ten best horrors movies...ever.
1. Exorcist
2. Saw
3. Predator
4. The Shining
5. Psycho
6. The Ring
7. Carrie
8. Alien
9. Aliens
10. The Inauguration of Obama
The Fly (the 1987 remake)
There's one other movie I've looked for for years, but I must have not remembered the name correctly. I thought it was She, but the "She" I've found is not the one I miss. The one I wish to see again had a scene at the end in which, to make her lover immortal, "She" had to convince him to bathe in a blue fire. The fire UNdid her immortality.
ANYWAY...The Haunting is the top horror movie of my life.
I play Blair Witch with my dogs and a flashlight when we go for our walk in the dark before bedtime. (Were on our land, not out in the road, so dont worry!)
They totally freak when I put that flashlight under my chin and start chanting their names, LOL!
My vote is for The Shining because of the performances, the cinematography and because of the way it just gets inside your head.

Therapy is expensive! And besides, I have too much fun amusing myself. :)
That’s my wife’s favorite
