Skip to comments. When Does Hillary Officially Announce Her 2012 Presidential Candidacy?

Does anybody here buy Hillary Clinton's claim that she WON'T be running for president again? I sure don't.
Okay, so assuming (not a big assumption) she runs again, when would that be? I think Hillary just can't wait for 2016 especially if things go south for Obama which is currently happening and if the Democrats lose big in the 2010 elections.
Since Hillary would need a respectable gap between resigning as Secretary of State and announcing her 2012 candidacy, I am guessing she would resign by no later than April 2011 and announce her official candidacy in late summer of that same year. If you had to pin me down to a date, I would guess September 12, 2011 as the day when Hillary Clinton announces she will be running for president.
Of course, this would be an interesting Democrat bloodbath. Think Ted Kennedy running against Jimmy Carter.
Of course, unofficially, she is already making plans to run for president in 2012.
You think so? She’s looking old and tired to me, I actually took her for her word. I also think the Clintons are more afraid of the racist label than anything, and they wouldn’t dare challenge Obama’s re-election bid.
OK, I'll take the "She won't announce" block since you don't want it.
I’m thinking that Obama will become so unpopular that she will have to run against him. Again, think Ted Kennedy running against the unpopular Jimmy Carter.
This administration has assigned her to the job of janitor- they’ve kept her going non-stop from one place to another. I think they’re trying to wear the ol’ gal out so she won’t run again.
I don’t have the link to the article yesterday in which it was advised she said she wouldn’t seek the Presidency again, so I’d say she has already announced.
I don’t think the Dems would cross their black base, and challenging Obama would never be acceptable to the vast majority of them. Carter was a white guy from the South, which is very different.
Right after the Dem Debacle of Election 2010.
She’d have to be getting her ducks in a row by now - if only to whisper to operatives to keep their dance cards open. I’m betting that some deal has been made and she continues to lick her wounds and pay lip service to Dear Leader.
All actions are pointing in that direction including obozo's casual comment on 60 minutes of him planning to be Prez for "a long time". It's why the bozo is pushing all the socialism - to create the foundation for his lifelong rulership.
I think DiFi’s performance on Sunday got the ball rolling.
BINGO! DiFi was echoing Hillary's thoughts.
Yes, If Obama's Likability goes significantly below 50%, Hillary might come out of the Woodwork. If Healthcare fails to pass and his numbers plummet, be assured she and her minions in the press will come out in droves.
In 2012 Hilldebeast will be 65 years old. She is not aging well. I have a hard time envisioning the younger voters electing this old, hard-ridden warhorse.
If Obama’s numbers get into the 30’s look for her to find a reason to resign as SofS. She’ll then start gearing up for 2012. Part of her plan should include Nutri-System.
Her "will not run" announcement sure carries a whiff of Sun Tzu's strategery...
But it could equally well be the acknowledgement of her handlers telling her that she blew it last time, and that they'll need to find a fresher face next time around...
Hillary won’t run.
I don’t recall having a party with a President in office running a differant canidate when that pres is up for re-election. Is there a historicial presadent?
One thing that struck me odd is that last year she said she was SUSPENDING her campaign. Always thought something fishy about that.
Yeah, I don’t know whether that just affects how they deal with debts and balances—or if there’d be more to it.
