Is President Obama Clinically Depressed?

The evidence is mounting that the President is suffering from depression or worse. Here is a summary of the observable evidence:

a. Anger is a classic symptom of depression. Remember the terribly angry speech on health care President Obama gave in September?

b. Distancing oneself from reality is another symptom. Is not this clearly going on with the President and his apparent inability to address the serious issues in the war in Afghanistan? How is it otherwise conceivable that the Commander-in-Chief doesn’t even speak to his general in 70 days? Perhaps if things were going well in the war, we could overlook this lack of attention. But given the seriousness of the problems, where is the President? And what about the latest developments in Iran? The world is looking potentially at Armageddon in the Middle East. Where is the president?

c. Blaming others for failures is another clue. The President has recently suggested that the war is being lost because of our NATO allies. What?

d. Lying blatantly is another indication that a person is not emotionally stable. How can our President insist that his health care plan will not cost the taxpayers anything? After all, he only wants to add some 46 million people onto the government’s dole for health care, and he would add over 40 new federal bureaucracies. The President’s claim is irrational; that is to say mentally unbalanced.

e. The evidence is also convincing that the President is devoid of any sincere religious foundation. In the growing crisis in his presidency, he still has not made any serious effort at finding a church or spiritual support of any kind. This is still another clue that is valuable in this investigation.

f. There have been reports that the President’s staff has had to get him “up” for various duties. This lack of enthusiasm for daily tasks would be another sign of possible depression.

g.The Olympic bid could be another indication. This story was really all about cronyism, as the President’s close associates stood to be greatly enriched by the games being in Chicago. Could the president have possibly thought this would escape public notice? What is going through his mind? How could he be so blinded--unless he is simply not thinking straight?

Any one of these issues in isolation could be overlooked if that was all there was. But taken together, we must conclude that there are serious issues with President Obama’s mental health.

Interesting analyses - but then we had the Clintons and their treasure trove of “celebrities” who tramped through the Lincoln Bedroom for 8 long years.

That was ANOTHER Dem White House resident who had serious psychological and persoality disorder issues, along with a soul sold out to the criminal/Marxist machine that produced them.....AND an upbringing with an absent father and a bounced around youth eventually nourished by the criminal element (for him, the Dixie Mafia - his uncle was HEAD of it) and the Communist element (trip to the USSR during college years at Oxford...paid for by whom??)

Contrast these psycho cases with President George W. Bush, who was reviled and ridiculed, I believe in large part, because he had a healthy upbringing with a loving family and a happy loving wife....who had the strength of character to get us through the aftermath of 911 even though it happened so soon into his Presidency!

And, there we go.....The Dems have produced two disturbed personalities to inhabit our Presidency...the first one ignoring the growing terrorist threat for eight years (setting the stage for 911) and now this one....who in only 9 months has managed to weaken the USA in almost every category that matters...leading to what? Only God knows the true danger we are in.

Maybe he should be drug tested. His staff is suppose to be tested to get clearance. I wonder how many have been tested? We know that Clinton was slow in getting his staff tested. When he got around to getting it done some failed and had to be let go.

I’ve always maintained Presidential aspirants should also be given an overall intelligence test, and have to pass the test to proceed. I’ve had to take Federal exams, state exams, county exams for various positions I’ve held, as well as physicals for some. Why not have entrance exams for the highest position in the country?

You nailed it on the narcissism. Most narcissists spend the last part of their lives broken and blaming others for not reaching the ultimate perfection they KNEW they could have achieved if only their enemies had been destroyed.
How can this possible end well?

This is general enough almost to qualify as a horoscope, rather than psychoanalysis. I don’t see many signs of normal human psychology in Obama anyway. He is a virtual President, a TOTUS, a dream screen on which fewer and fewer reflections still can be seen, and that last one may be one thing that could depress him, as he realizes inevitably that he will have to stand alone and make a decision he will be responsible for.

The four symptoms of clinical depression are known as the Four Ps: Perfectionism, Procrastination, Paranoia, Paralysis.

There is a lot wrong with The One but I’m not sure clinical depression is the culprit.

I think it’s some sort of security issue. Zero and Clinton sought out a security of position, office, what have you. That is what made them to determined and ruthless. Unfortunately By getting their position, they have to endlessly campaign for it. They’re still searching for that position where they are secure, loved, and don’t have to take on more and more responsibility. Clinton managed to skate through on a great economy and luck, but Zero is partying while the entire country falls to pieces.

The press and Hollywood people are like Mommy to him, ever lastingly loving while I suppose he thinks the people should be daddy and do all of the work. Like Daddy however the public is expecting more out of him and he can’t comprehend that he isn’t the perfect boy that Hollywood and the press tell him he is.
