Hasn’t it been interesting to see the Dave Letterman era
slowly unwind, go off into all directions, bend , twist, and slowly implode and wind up here,with lots of additional talk about how there’s a lot more to this story, and all in the space of mere months? Hasn’t everyone noticed how smartass snarky and downright mean he’s gotten lately, well before the unconscionable joke about Sarah Palin’s daughter?
It wasn’t that long ago on this site that some FReepers were extolling Dave’s “solid Midwestern values”/ As if on cue, he started courting Hillary Clinton, mocking George Bush, Bill O’Reilly,and generally displayed himself as a reliable attack puppy for the Left against Conservatives,or those he thought were conservatives, like B. O’R.
We now have more of an insight into this man and why he is the way he is. It ain’t very pretty.
I think he’ll try to puff some air back into his sails just to be able to make it through the next few weeks, until maybe this boinking-the- staff story threatens to get uglier, then I believe he will quit himself.
Unless something very ugly comes out in some sexual harassment lawsuit (possible but far from certain) the old pervert won’t even come close to being fired.

Speaking of pervs I do find it very strange that Letterman himself refers to his actions as creepy...if it was just sex what was “creepy” about it. I think it was much more than that and my only regret is the idiot who tried to blackmail him was so stupid. What he should have done was published the book and raked in all our conservative dollars as we would have bought it just to give him credit for courage...but he was spineless and dishonest...must be a Democrat.
If you think he’ll be fired you’re crazy. His ratings will go up and CBS will be thrilled.
Why would he be fired? If advertisers cancel [like they have for Beck], they may well fire him. Or if the public turns on him.

She has a huge following. I’d even watch the first night, but that’s all, but the libs and gays love this woman and she’d, my point here, would immediately push the Howdy Doody lookalike (Howdy Doody having sex? Gives me the shakes) into the ash bin of television history.
