Make him hop enough that he starts thinking the army is the soft choice... it’s not like he’d be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan anyway...

Mom’s been on top of that for some time now. He’s making progress. Slowly, but it’s progress.

In other newz, don’t want to say too much, but things are shaping up around here. It’s not really been much of a Corin week at all.

And that’s all I can say about that right now.

Are either of you interested in being the sister of the presidential candidate? You don’t like him and you’re revealing his family secret that sinks his campaign. I need someone fairly close to Portland, Oregon.

Just askin’

Oh I would never do that... ;~)

I’m not sure I could survive the blowback. You need someone like Rosie... with not so many skeletons in her own closet. :~D

So what’s brother’s big scandal Rosie? :~)

Hello all on other fronts! Speaking of fronts, we’re in a stormy pattern here this week... The gales of November are here. Wet wet windy wet, with a forecast of wet windy windy and wet.

Congrats to Jr!!
I applied for three more jobs today. I think that brings the total to about 25 since the beginning of September. Good thing I'm not desperate, or anything! ;o)

It's tough if you don't have any specific marketable skills, or if you aren't a professional of some sort. Jack of all trades and Master of none doesn't translate well into the marketplace these days. I was avoiding the usual retail stuff, but if I don't get anything before Christmas, I might end up going that route, just to have some sort of recent employment history.

How bout that - 3 jobs, never rains but it pours; three jobs at one time is darn good start. :-) Seriesly, that is quite an accomplishment these days. Kudos, OB

NEW TEST

You Are Pears
You have sophisticated tasted in food, and more than anything, you really like to go for high quality ingredients.
You understand that a perfectly grown and ripened pear is a beautiful thing... and really quite underrated.

You prefer to eat minimally prepared food. You think complexity often just hides poor quality ingredients.
In your mind, there's little better than an expertly poached pear, or pear served with a fine cheese.

You Are Apples
You have simple tastes in food, and you appreciate a basic, clean flavor. You don't think eating or cooking should be complicated.
In fact, you're really not one for cooking much at all. Your best meals come together quickly and don't require many ingredients.

If anything, you're the type of person who's more likely to pull out the oven mitts and bake every so often.
Chocolate chip cookies are one of your favorite things to smell baking, and it goes without saying that you love apple pie.

I have a Prayer Request of you. My cousin Becky’s daughter’s fiance was killed in a traffic accident last night. Rachel had just picked up her wedding dress yesterday, and needless to say, she’s hysterical, at this point. I’d never met Cole, but he and Rachel had been dating for over 6 years, and Becky and her husband just loved him. It’s a tough time for all of them, and prayers would be appreciated.

Tonight's Saturday Night Gun Pron is just a teaser to tomorrow's Sunday Supplement. Some (more) unintended upgrades resulted in cosmetic changes to the HK94, and more critical internal upgrades to the GSG-5. Here they are in their latest configurations.

In the meantime, I've hung out on Rimfirecentral.com long enough this week to pick up some juicy news. First, the reason H&K sued GSG to halt sales of the GSG-5 is because H&K is taking the same route as Colt did, and will have Walther and Umarex produce a H&K-branded MP5-22 next year. Having the "real" markings from the real manufacturer makes tons of extra money. I need to start saving now.

Also, the Colt M4-22 is not the cheapie some people have assumed. Someone at Rimfirecentral wrote Walther (in German) about a couple of questions. He received an answer back in English.

First, Walther has a drop-in match-grade trigger module in the works. Airsoft-type modularity sometimes has its benefits.

Also, the "cheap" steel barrel liner with the aluminum housing (giving it the M4 profile) is anything but cheap. The funny thread for the faux M4 flash hider tensions the thin rifled tube, giving it the rigidity of a heavy match barrel at a fraction of the weight.

Walther has the barrels, made by Lothar Walther, made the same way for its match rifles. That "cheapie" barrel on the M4-22 is actually a target-grade item made by Germany's premier match barrel maker.

And I just found a site that makes a tensioning adapter for the M4-22 that has the standard GI outer thread. That means I can put the same Smith Enterprises vortex flash hider on the M4-22 as on my "real" M-faux.

Also some good news for Sig 55x fans, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow's supplement is starting to shape up more as a gossip column, rather than tech topics.

I heard Smith totally dissed Wesson at a party at the Mossbergs, and was than seen making out with Walther on the back deck, so Wesson's going to start hanging out with Remington.
