Asking for prayers for my 77 y/o Mother-in-law, who had a stroke Sunday morning. She holds down two part-time jobs for the Church, which she will probably now lose due to her condition and the need for extended rehab.

Prayers up. My mother suffered from strokes. She was able to recover from the first two mild ones, but passed away 7 years ago after a severe stroke which put her in a coma.
I don’t know how severe it is in your family’s case, but I hope she is able to recover to a point where she can have a reasonable life... with God’s help and your family’s love.

I was very touched by the outpouring of prayers from Freepers for my mother, and I am sad to return the favor, but glad that I could. Miracles do happen, and Freeper prayer power is great. Long live He who answers our prayers! And long live your Mom, too!

Prayers for your mother-in-law. May her recovery be quick and complete. There were two stroke victims in my family. One was around your MIL’s age at the time of the stroke, and she regained her abilities through therapy, though it required much time and patience. The important thing is that your MIL was helped in time.
