yikes. My computer locked up for a second and wouldn’t respond. At least I THOUGHT it wasn’t responding.

This is why I am glad to see the progress of US companies like SpaceX. Their Dragon capsule is progressing steadily and their Falcon launchers are also developing well.

But there is too much at stake for us to have shown the world how to get there over the past 40 years only to drop out of the space race just when other nations are starting to make advances.

Obama apologizes for the U.S. for what happened 40 years ago and for taking so long to get out of the way of the peoples of the World.

[For the U.S.] the moon and then travel to Mars is basically dead on arrival due to the tremendous cost.

Popular all night radio show CoastToCoastAM regular guest, Richard Hoagland, is a long-time expert on matters of U.S. space exploration.

He just raved about Obama. Bush is a really dumb guy and he's finally gone! exclaimed Hoagland. President Obama is very intelligent and he will lead us to new and exciting worlds, we finally have a president with brains, raved Hoagland.

I wish I could have asked Hoagland each time he appeared on the show and raved about Obama, "When has a street agitator ever favored spending money on space?"

You'd think that with all this talk of planetary overcrowding, of using abortion and euthanization to maintain population numbers, that there would be interest in an alternative to killing people - as in building spinning (for gravity) torus habitats at L4 and L5.

Easier to abort the unborn and kill off the old, and make it easier for the Taliban to kill off American soldiers by forbidding them from firing back when fired upon, I guess.

The storm is caused by government spending and regulations. This government isn’t going to change that.

Yes. Allowing China to have control of space give them a remarkable military advantage.

A few multi-ton rods of depleted uranium and they would have a city killer if they deorbited it correctly.

I can think of a few problems with that.

First, uranium burns. REally good, like magnesium. I don’t think it will survive re entry.

Second, how are you going to launch a rocket carrying multi tons of giant metal rods into space? Sounds pretty expensive to me. Like maybe even more expensive than a plain old nuke.

Again, the nations that lead on the frontiers, get to dictate the course of human history. Cutting back would not hurt us today, but very seriously tomorrow.

We cannot shirk from our frontier culture.
America was built on that culture, It must continue or we will not.

Before the 0 solution is over, Americans won’t be able to afford the technology to get to work, (not that there will be any jobs) much less the moon. Space exploration is for modern, wealthy nations. 0 has different plans for us.
